He kept saying he was going to go no matter what the NHL said or did. Neither Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid or any Canadian NHL player said they were going to abandon their team in the middle of the season to try and win a gold medal at the Olympics.

True Tampa is still a very deep club. I didn't watch much of the games but Stamkos and Kucherov were shutdown completely by WAS the last two games. Trotz must have worked a new system in or something.
