Seattle expansion ....just have to give up something extra for them to take em
- Redmile247

This would be nice if he cant be dealt, I believe his contract changes next summer in terms of NTC.

I would love to see the top4 d get shaken up. Edler is getting long in the tooth, he and Tanev are really our only guys capable of playing top4, the rest are pretty brutal or just not ready yet.

So, my number one would be Trouba. I'd give up a lot to get him, not #7 but possibly one of the goalie prospects (dipietro), whichever forward they value that's not part of the new core (EP, BO and Boes) a 2nd and Tanev. I love Tanev, but we need to get better and younger and his contract will be much lower than Trouba's.
Number two would be Ellis, he won't be taking a discount this time I don't think.

After that, bring in a UFA Dman to log some minutes and shelter our young D. John Moore or Jack Johnson, two year deal and hope they play themselves into being tradeable.

I don't see it changing, but I also don't see lightning striking twice.

Let’s hope teams put themselves in better position come the draft so they don’t have players they covet left available

NMC's will become a rarity.

teams now have the experience and time to plan ahead.

I don’t think the jets are too worried about goalie prospects ....and why are they dealing Trouba ?

It's unavoidable for deep teams like Minnisota, Columbus, NYR, WPG and Tampa to do that. Seattle will have some good young pieces for sure. Makes the TDL interesting again though!

He's an RFA. Rumor is he asked for 8mil last time, I just don't think they can do that with so many contracts on the horizon. He's played really well on his bridge contract.

Yeah I think you’re right ...I bet Seattle will end up where everyone thought Vegas would this year in the pre season.

They've demanded the same rules Vegas got. I just hope they aren't shocked when they finish in the bottom 6 in their first year. They're not getting a Fleury in net nor a Gallant for a coach.

Trouba has said he wants to sign quickly with the Jets and he's open to a long term. Not gonna happen.

ya I know he said that. He also said he wants 7-8 mil less than two years ago. They can't afford that, so I'm not convinced. He's not an idiot, would never say he wants out in the media after a big year.

Fair enough I can buy into that ...and yeah they will have some issues pretty soon ....I would keep trouba and deal buff ...but that’s just me

There are always surprise players who weren’t thought to be as good prior to the season that teams have to protect as well

100%. I'd trade any of their D other than Morissey to be honest, Myers has played well but if I had to I would. Chevy seems pretty saavy, maybe he could deal buff.

I guess we can expect Bouchard to be out. Hughes, Wahlstrom, Boquist or Dobson is who I would expect at this point. Looking for ward to it! Who do people have at #37?

My dream 37 pick would be kandre miller, play a beast game with nice speed and shot to boot. his draft stcok is rising the last few months though. Other than that, Groulx and Olofsson both have that size/skill and speed game I'd like to see th Canucks go for. Easy to pick a D in that spot, lots will go in both the first two rounds.

Miller McIssac Bahl are my three choices in that order

Same rules but I think Vegas is exempt from the expansion. So I can see a lot of teams making deals with Vegas.

No kidding. Handed them 2/3 of their top line and their coach If Vegas wins the Cup it's completely on the Panthers

For sure, deep teams are like that. Haula, Karlsson and Miller were all steals and you look at who they protect and it's confusing. Not an easy scenario.
