The good thing about Gilman to the Leafs is he knows Tanevs value

Tampa doesn't need to change anything for next year. 1 more year of experience for Vasilevsky will be good and you have to hope that your star players show up more than they did this time around.

Vegas is probably going to win the cup, I'd be surprised if they can't do to Washington what they've done to the western teams. Winnipeg was better than Wash this playoffs and Vegas dismantled them.

Your original implication was that the reason he wanted to go was because the NHL wasn't going, therefor it'd be easy for him to (finally) win something. He just wanted to play for his country, in the Olympics, because that matters to him. Lots of people came out stating their disappointment and regret, he's just brash and took it one step further.

It's one of those situations where your personal feelings dictate how you perceive something... don't like him? POS. Like him? Fierce competitor. Much like the whole NFL kneeling debate.

I don't want any part of liljren and a first for Tanev, unless it's an unprotected 2019 first, then I'd be down with the top 5 pick.

barring injury tampa will probably finish first in the regular season next year, but for their sake i hope they find a way to move on from girardi and maybe coburn. a full season of hedman, mcdonagh, stralman and sergachev is going to be deadly

fleury has been playing out of this world, but holtby is a vezina calibre guy himself. i think itll be close series and that washingtons defensive game might help them prevail over the onslaught forecheck vegas has

I think it really comes down to which goaltender plays better. The odds have to be on Fleury right now imo

LGK have a very fast physical team. They will match the Caps .

I think they'll outspeed and probably outhit the Caps. If Wash is going to win it their stars need to outperform the top guys for Vegas. OV Kuznetzov Carlsson and Oshie have to be really good. Winnipegs top guys couldn't do it, SJs top guys couldn't do it, and LAs top guys couldn't do it

It will be interesting. I'd give the slight edge to WAS as they have beat the better clubs in TBAY and PIT...VGK has a pretty easy go vs LA and SJ and an apparently burnt out Jets club from the Nashville series. Not taking anything away from what Vegas and Fleury have done but eventually they may get outmatched by WAS. But if Fleury gets in the heads of the Caps look out. Hot goalies have stole cups before. Where was our hot goalie vs Boston in 2011...

left hand dman, so he's down the depth chart on our roster. we could afford to deal him.

but honestly, still a mess defensively and takes a lot of penalties is what i know about him.

The other two were old school. Gilman will be perfect in TO . He knows how to make the numbers dance for payroll and always finds new ways to do things , best describes him. I like him. Just tell him if he hands out a NTC you will break his legs.
