I'd take Grabner over Comeau
and
I'd take a shot on a Peca over Comeau as well - Feds91Stammer
I could be argued into Grabner as it's a slight preference. It's good to have multiple targets anyways.
Peca is a 25 year old prospect So I'll take Comeau over him. Wouldn't mind a 2 way deal there though, could use center depth.
EDIT-Comeau over Grabner, aside from being cheaper, brings a more physical element. I'd like to add some of that, just in a guy who also can skate and score which Comeau with 34 points last year can. |

I say Peca type because he is bargain bin material and I would prefer to keep cap flexibility for trades. |

Sure he makes sense as well. I like Comeau and Grabner enough as more proven options to get them. Peca is in another category where he'll be so cheap you can just add him and worst case you're putting him or Simon on waivers. |

I should probably add Kunitz as a choice as well. Not sure if a return is possible. Any of Kunitz, Comeau, or Grabner would make me happy as a bottom 6 add |

Yeah I get what you are saying. I would just rather go with 800k on a Peca and save ~1m+ vs Comeau/Grabner and keep some cap flexibility to go after rentals like Skinner/Nyquist/Zuccarello/etc. |

I can see that. Maybe we'll just keep our 1st for a change instead.
Pens might have a similar guy in Riikola. The Athletic had a nice article on him today. Good skater, heavy shot, decent hands, plays all situations in fact more as defensive starts and PK, lefty that can play either side. But like Peca even if he sounds good I'd aim for a proven option. |

I know, I was bringing him up as a similarly unproven guy (and because I just read that). They both sound like tgey could fit, but who knows how they'll do in the NHL. |

On a real note, what kinda trade are you lookin for for Skinner or Faulk? (Not necessarily from the Pens, but just in general.) |

Thats too bad. Good pedigree. Mike played the game the right way. One of the smallest biggest hitters to ever lace em up. |

Tampa looking for the perfect shot. - Thorny87
It's very similar to what the Pens were doing. I gotta give credit where credit is due, Caps are doing great at shutting down those cross ice passes and they're blocking a lot of shots. When they do get shots through, they're boxing out really effectively. Tampa isn't getting to the rebounds.
Holtby's playing well. Gotta take the abuse and get in front of him. |
