Page 27 du PDF, ils indiquent que la valeur nette d'Hydro c'est 19.76 Miliards.

Bien entendu, on parle de valeur aux livres. Les entreprises de ce genre sont évaluées selon les Cash flows, probablement un multiple the 10x EBITDA pour une entreprise dans les services publics, peut-être même plus considérant que c'est un monopole.

J'ai d'autres choses à faire que calculer l'EBITDA d'Hydro, mais en se basant sur les bénéfices de 2.85 Miliards, et avec un multiple conservateur de 16x le bénéfice (Hydro One s'échange à 16.3x présentement), j'arrive à 46 Miliards.

Et puis évidemment, Hydro c'est un des actifs du gouvernement. Dans une situation alarmiste, tu peux vendre les édifices gouvernementaux, les routes, les ponts, les aéroports, les services d'acqueducs, de métro, d'autobus, etc. Le Royaume-Uni l'a fait sous Thatcher, privatisant même les compagnies d'eau dans plusieurs régions (sauf l'Écosse de mémoire).

Oui la dette est importante au Québec, mais les créanciers savent qu'elle est supportée par des actifs qui sont assez facilement monnayables sur les marchés privés et surtout qui sont hautement profitables. J'ai travaillé huit mois dans un fonds de pension et laisse-moi te dire que les infrastructures sont en très fortes demande sur les marchés.

Au lieu de s'inquiéter pour la dette public, les gens devraient se regarder le nombril et arrêter de s'endetter pour acheter une auto neuve qui perd 30% de sa valeur en sortant du concessionnaire.
