the only way any team takes Mason is if Winnipeg adds something to "sweeten" the deal. They don't have a first rd pick to trade, so it would need to be a decent prospect, or a young roster player. A 4.1M cap hit for a back up is a lot of $$ to take on.

Sure he was -42 this year... and his team was terrible.... +/- is a stat largely affected by team performance.

And it's the first time he gets a stat that atrocious while producing regularely and playing big minutes for his team in the last few years.

He's not the greatest defenseman in the world but come on.... he's not THAT bad.

He needs to be bumped down the list, he can't be in our top 2/3 D IMO.
