Paying any goalie over 4 million is just dumb, especially paying one 10 per for another 8 years. No one is trading for Carey Price.

right now (looking at 2018-2019 seasons and 3 next seasons) these are the 6 top goalies:
price, holtby, bobrovsky, vasilevskiy, schneider and gibson.
the suggestion of trading holtby or not extending bobrovskiy is just laughable.
washington will eventually trade grubauer when samsonov joins caps.

grubauer is on same level as andersen, raanta (10-20 starting goalie).

buff gets a great goalie long term and cap issues in 4-5 years.
habs get a possible number 1 center, top 6/9 winger and a young depth center, and they unload 10 million in cap space.
