off the top of my head these players are injured for the Jays Diaz, Garcia, Stroman, Grichuk, Pearce, Tulo.

donaldson missed 20 games already.

ball players get injured...a lot

- senstroll

Tulo got injured running to first base. (Yeah, I know he stepped on the guy's foot and broke his ankle, but it's funnier when you only tell half the story)

Same guy that outscored Nylander 5v5

- Garnie

Hyman had 35 and Nylander had 45?

Not according to Pat.

Yeah, but mainly because I think Nylander is a first line winger;

You still don't get a 24 year old #1 defenseman for a first line winger. At least you shouldn't.

Not unless you happen to have like 4-5 other top guys like Nashville had a few years back.

Calgary is not in the same situation at all.

Quickly. Hamilton is their anchor on D for many years to come. Gio is aging,
Hamonic and Brodie hasn’t fit together. They are not getting rid of the Ginger dman especially not for a second line winger.

- Iggysbff

top 65 in forwards for points only gets him 2nd line ranking?

So, at best we'd get a guy like Adam Larsson, for a top line winger?

How much pressure is on Calgary to make the playoffs or shake up the roster? Outside influences we don't know about also affect trades. maybe Hamilton banged Gio's wife.

Lots of variables. I think Nylander for Hamilton would be tough considering one is an RFA and the other is signed to arguably a team friendly deal for years.

Most of the plan has to be together. I think he takes it easy. I doubt he makes any big moves.

Nylander is not even close to Hall.
And we all know that was a bad deal. But Hamilton is far far better than Larsson. So you are not even in the ballpark.

I'm more interested in how much and who gets signed for what and some trades...if we do any, also what he does with Keefe and his other guys he already works with.

This may sound crazy, but bear with me:

Bringing Hamilton to Toronto would be a mistake, because after every franking game (whether he plays well or poops the bed) the Kessel trade(s) would be brought up.

It wouldn't be fair to Hamilton, and it would ultimately become a negative.

I swear, I'm not kidding on this.

But he's better than a 30 year old Kessel that scored 92 points, so what the hell do you mean he's not better than Hall?
