Is it naive to think that Lou's history is that of a micro manager? When Lou was GM of the Devils, he thought nothing of firing his head coach and going behind the bench himself..........once with just a week to go before the end of the regular season.

Lou is the king of micromanaging, he wont let announcers travel with team, made the players stay in hotels at home playoff games and has the orchestra philosophy so i do think he will be involved ;in all decisions

Perhaps. The point is that Lou's nature (as 7 said) is that of a micro manager. So while it may take him a little while to get acclimated to the Isles' organization (and I use that term loosely ), I expect Lou to start acting like Lou sooner rather than later.

Lou was Lou on day one. There was no honeymoon period. He put his stamp on things from day one.

I have faith lou will get the job done just hope he gets jt signed and a goalie to start, a top 4 d would be great too but not sure he can do it by season start. Jt is a big part and I think lou needs an answer before draft

I think there is a fair amount of conjecture & hope here vs lou’s Statement about evaluation. TOR scouting staff are on contracts and lou’s Tenure at TOR was far from stellar. Some mixed items.

Btw... isles scout staff also on contracts. And IF Garth signed internal staff to contracts just this offseason... and approved by ownership... do you think there are clear plans to uproot?

I’m not saying that by next year, it can change. Just that I think that up to November or so... won’t see much changeover in those areas. In other areas like the substandard player development and fact org needs a lot of fleshing out, I expect to see additional and changes.

This said, I think no matter the differing expectations... we all want the same thing. Consistency and upward trend to the team going forward. So no matter who is right or wrong on differing opinions and items... I think we are all pretty much on same end page

Lou turned The Leafs into true contenders in a year. Snow did it in 12 oh wait the Islanders didn’t make the POs again I don’t know anyone who would say Lou’s Tenure in Toronto wasn’t a success.

Malkin gave Lou 100% control. He will fire whoever doesn’t fit. Contract or no contract.

Now it’s November. You crack me up

I think the point here is that Lou knew the players from the scouts in Toronto and now he gets the isles scouts opionons too so he may be very well informed on them. Doesn't mean he needs to bring theirs or fire ours. I think if hes gonna can snow it's for hunter who's said to want to go where he can be gm

Garf will not get fired bc of contract clause, regardless of that, Lou will build/structure this team his way the day he officially took over.

Right make snow the head of sanitation and hire hunter. Lou already wants to hire good hockey people and thinks they need to expand the scouting dept

Garf will have title but wont really act like one, honestly idc as long as this team sheds the terrible contracts and bring in more talent!

I agree as long as this team gets better and hopefully becomes a contender I dont care who's called what. They have the offense need some d and a keeper and with lou here I think that's possible for once

Can you please tell me what the clause states or it’s specifics?

Weight wont really be coaching this year. It'll really be Lou. Weight will just have the title of coach. Lou can do it all.

I don't have a clue either. I did speak to a friend who deals with high level management contracts. He told me it is very common to have a "no cause" termination cause which will award additional money if the person is fired. I didn't believe the rumors about Snow's contract until I had that conversation.

Seriously you wanted change and now have a guy who's a legend and while I would have preferred Fitzgerald you're still not happy. I know you want to see change but it's been 5 days

Anyone can. I'm happy as shat the guy is here but until these guys are all fired I'm not buying into it completely. No evaluation needs to be done their record speaks for themselves. I don't want to hear some ridiculous reasoning why they're still here. Contract my arse if the almighty Lou wants Snow gone he would be gone. There's zero chance the NHL would allow some absurd "fire" clause written into Snow's contract especially with Wang being the orchestrator of said contract. That's just bullshat fabricated by a fan base desperate for positivity.

We all want the same thing but if Snow and Weight are still here at the start of the season it speaks volumes. For those that want to stick their heads in the sand and make pretend its "just in title" go right ahead living in the land of make believe. You cant say Lou has full autonomy and in the same sentence say it means nothing if Weight and Snow are still here. It's an obvious contradiction. Now with all of this said I am hoping they're both fired. I still believe there's a chance it happens but if it doesn't it's because Lou wants them here and it's not so they have zero role in anything. That's the dumbest (frank)ing thing I've seen on here in a while.

Who said i wasnt happy? Ive said it numerous times that im happy Lou is here you just chose not to see it. With that said I'm not happy that both Snow and Weight are still here. I still believe there's a good chance both of them are fired but until then I apologize for not rejoicing.
