2 days off and they're going to be on home ice. I'm willing to bet they bring it for game 7. Not to say the Caps won't, but I don't think we'll see the Bolts shut out again.

Bet the caps win. If the Caps win, you have to have this un-altered avatar till the 1st regular season game.

I'd rather lose him for nothing than pay him $14M
- eichiefs9

I'm thinking 10 Mill to 11 mil per for 8 with a lot of bonus $ and incentives.

I don't think he will strip the club from being able to surround him with the pieces and the money needed to get it done. Just my opinion.

OK, but if the Bolts win you have to use this one until the first Rangers regular season game

Or something similar, I may re-work it a little

If he truly wants to win and the money is secondary of course.

Then he'll walk.

Gonna be under pressure from the NHLPA to take as big of a contract as possible too.

Not sure who I root for if its Caps/Vegas. On one hand cool to see Ovi get his cup, but Vegas is just an awesome team to watch.

Love it: Lou Lamoriello hops on his teleconference five minutes early. Ready to go.

So be it. Lou does not cave to pressure. Isles have Barzal. It's not they have JT and nothing else and now they have a hockey expert that can build the team with or without JT.

You want to pay him 14 million he's all yours. He'll never cone close to living up to that contract and that always seems to work out

I'd be willing to go higher in Raleigh because the Canes D is locked up for such a long term, and guys like Svechnikov and Necas won't have to get paid for another 3 years.

Only issue is Aho and Teravainen needing to re-up as well.

At the right price I would be ok on a 2 year deal for kovalchuck. With that said I don't think he's going to be willing to sign for "at the right price. "

Thats a pretty big issue. Cant pay a 9 million dollar player 14 with a salary cap.

Lou said Isles co-owner Scott Malkin approached Maple Leafs ownership for permission to speak during Maple Leafs playoff run. Lou said not during playoffs. Met with Malkin after playoffs "and the results are we are speaking today."#Isles
