I still have an xbox 360.

I've been kicking around the idea of getting something again, but I tend to really binge playing video games when I have access to them so it's probably not worth the headache of paying ~$600 to get bitched at by my GF.

I used to be the same but now I just play it super casually. An hour or so a few times a week at the most. I often go a month without touching it.

Maybe in my ripe old age of 31 I would be better with that, but my GF does still own the OG Super Nintendo and I've binged on Super Mario Bro's a few times so that's not looking likely.

Regardless, I have other things I'd rather spend my $600 on these days. Like a dozen goose decoys.

Yeah, if I did it I would wait for the black friday deals. Consoles will most likely be sub 200 and games very cheap. I got NHL 18 for less than half. Some games were like 5-15 bucks.

Edit: The best thing I bought recently was the SNES Classic. 20 games for 80 bucks. All the best ones and if you take 5 minutes you can load a ton more on there.

This one from Pronman cracked me up, specifically the ranking along with the last line, bolded:

17. Ruslan Iskhakov, RW, CSKA-MHL

July 22, 2000 | 5-foot-8 | 152 pounds

GP: 33 | Goals: 6 | Points: 30 | Shoots: Left

Skating: 55
Puck Skills: 65
Physical Game: 20
Hockey sense: 65

Iskhakov has impressed me whenever I’ve watched him this season between international play and junior. Iskhakov was a significant riser, going from relative anonymity in the Slovakian U18 league to a top guy in his age group. He’s a tiny forward at 5-foot-8 and that might be generous, but his puck skills are fantastic. He can maneuver with the puck as well as most players in his age group. It’s not just his skills that stand out to me, though, his brain is also high-end, if not elite. He sees plays developing so well and can outsmart defenders with his hands and vision. He made some of the best passes I saw all season, and the way he improvises on the ice to get out of tough situations with his creativity is worth the price of admission. The major issue I have in his projection isn’t his size but rather he’s not a blazing skater, which isn’t ideal for a guy his size. He lacks a dangerous top gear but he does have above-average speed, he’s good on his edges and he can be elusive. He’s listed as a center by NHL Central Scouting but projects on the wing as I don’t love his two-way game. It’s actually plausible Iskhakov goes undrafted rather than even come close to being picked where I have him, but he also has massive potential.

He definitely has some oddball stuff. I don't necessarily disagree with his ranking of Merkley, assuming he's only judging him based on talent, but no GM is going to touch that kid in the top-10. Not with all the risk he carries.

Folks, let's talk about:

#9 + Brendan Smith ($12.4m actual salary next 3 years)
for
#4 + Bobby Ryan ($30m actual salary next 4 years)

?

I love this idea. I know I'll get killed for it, but I can explain why I love it.

It really isn't worth the money, games like NHL are the same game year over year they just update rosters

A few years back I tried to play MLB the Show and it legit would take an hour to play each game. How the frank do people have time to play a full 162 game season

He's Anthony DeAngelo. He's a good skater with good offensive upside who has poop for brains.

I doubt that very much, since the Leafs in now having a new GM in Dubas, would not likely allow Keefe to talk to any teams while he is still under contract. Keefe would be next in line to succeed Babcock if necessary.
The word late yesterday had it that Rangers management (with Gorton traveling back to NY today from the World Championships in Denmark), would not want to wait any longer to have those talks if Dubas did allow them, with Keefe's Marlies team still playing in their postseason.
As a result, I would also gather that the Rangers were not also willing to wait to see if they would have permission to talk to Caps assistant, Todd Reirdon at some point after their postseason ends, with Barry Trotz's contract expiring, and Reirdon having expressed his interest in the past to be a head coach at some point.

- RangerSaver

If you read all comments, you’re basically repeating my original comment... to think that Rangers don’t already know if they have a shot at Keefe would be naive. GMs talk.

I tried that game too. Way too slow. I think there are ways to accelerate it or play less innings. I don't play full 20 min periods in NHL. That is insane.

It's worth the money. Especially playstation. You replace your cable, if you have with their streaming/TV service.

Most likely. I always hate seeing guys that have all the talent in the world and are dumb as a box of rocks. There are so many people out there that would kill for that type of natural talent and guys like Merkley will just piss it away because they're too stupid for their own good.

Yea I use Playstation Vue for cable, can't beat it for 45 bucks a month. Get every channel I need outside of comedy central and NHL Network.

But do you need a playstation in order to stream it?

On a rebuilding team, the Cap hit doesn't matter. Plus if their is another lockout the Rangers can make that cap hit go away. No trading for Ryan means they couldn't sign Kovi or Tavares. Probbably Kovi because their both wins. But is the 4th pick worth it in my mind? Yes. That 4th pick guaruantees the Rangers a shot at drafting....

I would assume so. Idk though. I have cable because I want the NHL network. I also have a PS4 and an Xbox 1.

It's not like he's not a useful player and it's only four years of that garbage cap hit. Unless the Rangers have one hell of a rebuild in the next three seasons, he'll probably be a deadline-day deal in year 4 of the contract.

My cousin cut the cord last year and uses whatever Vue's highest tier is for like $75/mo and he swears he'll never go back.

I think you can stream it from a PC as well.
