I work with someone who looks a LOT like her.

She's also incredibly friendly and nice.

Deadpool 2 still a 9.5 for me just a brilliant movie and you can't put it with the Avengers Infinity War because it's a different category

how many will sign a petition to present to Kim P, asking for the organization to hire Keanu Reeves as the teams life coach?

He absolutely was. He had almost as many goals this year, 43, than total points from the previous 162 games, 45. He was putting up 3rd liner numbers before this year. He was a career <8% shooter before 23% this year.

They all had chips on their shoulders. To be banished to an expansion team? "I'll show them!". Gallant had the biggest chip of all. They even talk about it on their NBCSN mini-doc. And the massacre a week before the season brought them all together to play for something even bigger than themselves, and bonded them to the city.

The chip on the shoulder theory, while true, is exaggerated. I do think it plays a role in how well Vegas is playing this year. However, the NHL's new expansion rules did make some very good players available. There weren't really any great ones, but a lot of good ones, more than most teams can acquire, draft, and develop in a few years. This is a team full of good players having a great year. I don't see any great players (possibly Fleury, but his past struggles are well documented). The chips on their shoulders had something to do with that, but they were also a team that really had no expectations coming in. Nobody expected them to win. There was really no pressure on them, and Gallant knew that and played that angle brilliantly. We saw this with the 2005-2006 Sabres.

I'm glad Vegas is doing this well. It's good for the league. You build a fanbase by giving it a product worth watching. If Vegas struggled for 3 or 4 years before becoming good, you wouldn't see the reaction you do today. Tradition is built by winning. The real challenge will be to sustain it.

What will be interesting to see is if Vegas can keep a lot of these guys. This season is going to warrant some massive paydays for certain players.

When I was in college I worked with a corrupt old goat who had a very interesting view on this issue:

Still say we should trade for gerbe for the 4th line who knows he might get his Groove back to the Carolina days and you can move him up to the third line

Probably cost a future seventh round pick

But seriously we need the Jets to win or the Tampa Bay Lightning or Washington capitals to win the cup

Vegas is a good story but they deserve poop fan bases have been going through heartbreaking losses every year and these guys just walk in and take the cup in 1 try

Ugh I will be sick

Hossa retires, I wonder what that means for their cap, and if there are any recapture penalties.
