If MTL is rebuilding FULLY - why wouldn't the Flyers want to add Shea Weber to their already STACKED, YOUNG D?

Is the price that much higher than: one of our first round picks, a prospect (Morin perhaps) on D and maybe something else?

If I were Hexy, I might give them both picks in the first round if they took a bad salary off our hands like Lethera.

Look, I am ALL FOR this whole build from within, LA Kings program but the time does come when the window opens (look at the Sixers all of a sudden) and I think the same goes for The Flyers now. They are getting good. The window is opening. You take Ghost, Provy and Sanheim and add in a bad-ass like Shea Weber and you've got perhaps the best top-4 in the NHL AND a TON of money to sign free agents, keep players and so on.

Note: Giroux and V and Wade are not spring chickens anymore. Its likely time to start making moves while we can afford the core team thanks to affordable salaries on Patrick, Couts, Ghost, Provy. Some day soon - we are going to have to PAY for some of these guys. I'd like them to have rings by then.

Wait until next offseason and sign Doughty. It makes sense. If he's re-signed by the Kings before that, traded midseason to another club who re-signs him, or goes UFA to someone else next summer, then Webber will STILL be there for fewer concessions (year older, MTL will still stink, etc.).

I dont see Buffalo wanting Jack Johnson. They already have Risto and we all know Dhalin is going to Buffalo. They have Bogo, Beaulieu, Scandella and Mccabe. So unless one of these guys is being dealt they are likely looking for a depth DMan. Someone between #5-7 Dman

I do not see any interest in Faulk from Leafs or Flyers.

Flyers are set on Defense, if anything they need to move some of the vet Dmen like AMac and Gudas. AMac had a good season last year so maybe we can move him somewhere with low salary retention. I do like what Gudas can bring to the table, he is solid defensively, is very physical and does well on the PK but he puts us down a man too many times with questionable or out right bad hits. With Provorov, Ghost, Hagg and Sanheim already with the big club and other Dmen like Morin, Myers and Friedman looking to push up to the big club. Flyers will be looking to move 2 Dmen not add.

Leafs need defence but they need a guy who is going to be able to play big minutes and play very well in his own end. Leafs will be looking at Dmen like Weber and Doughty however I dont believe they will get any of those Dmen and that it is more likely they stick with what they have.

I don't think we need Karlsson although I LOVE the guy.

Drew is a personal friend of mine and I would LOVE to see him playing for the Flyers but the Kings are NEVER going to let him go. Sorry. Not a chance.

Weber makes more sense. The Habs need a major rebuild. Weber is getting older. The Flyers ALWAYS tend to get their guy "think: Forsberg".

Seriously, you aren't drooling over the idea of Weber, Ghost, Provo and Sanheim as a top 4. AND AND AND we have money to get a forward.
