I'm not worried either. Lou does not play the fool for anyone. Lou left Jersey and now the Leafs because he does not want to stay in the background and do nothing.

If what Staple reported was true........Lou Lamoriello representing the isles meeting with Tavares is all i needed to hear. Nowhere in that meeting was there a mention of Snow or Weight or any other bozo. Perhaps now, people will be hired on merit and not favors returned

All you need to know about Snow's power from here on out. They sent him and Weight to scout while Lou went to meet with JT in Canada
- Vukota

EXACTLY he already met with JT as the isles rep that speaks volumes on snows power

Of course. I know he said Snow wasn't going anywhere, but was he saying there would be no changes?

I highly doubt a million bucks is gonna hurt this franchise. So they pay him a ton of money to do nothing.......no different than paying Yashin not to play. Im sure its a write off....

Not at all unexpected and it goes without saying but will say it anyway: Lou’s arrival represents the Isles’ best chance of convincing JT to stay. Whether he does or not, of course, remains to be seen. https://t.co/SN8QApNkJG

What so interesting to me is Tavares was quoted as backing Snow multiple times. Now they are saying Lou Lam is the isles best chance of getting 91 to stay? Which is it?

I think JT just knows what to say to the press. You can't expect him to publicly say he has no faith in Snow.

Did you really expect him to bad mouth anybody in public?

I think JT had to back Snow when asked, but inside he was probably thinking "A (frank)ing box of cabbage could do a better job."

Yep! JT may still not sign even with Lou, but he sure had every chance to sign after Belmont was done and he has not signed. Lou should have a much better chance signing JT than Garth.

I know many might disagree, but I have to believe it will come down to a money issue. He was on the best contract for years for a top 5 player, he wants to get paid and I don't think anyone can blame him.

Lou will make him an offer he can't refuse.
