I did not miss that. However, you're not getting 2 or 3 with ROR. It's just not happening.

I'll eat my shoe if it does.

Ok. A piece of it for sure.
But if ROR and Jack and Bogo all approached Risto and explained how his not paging the system in fact hurts the team and coerced him into playing it...
If Housley had a Risto ride the pine and play 3rd pairing to demonstrate you don’t play top minutes by not playing the system.
Then if that doesn’t work, then trade him.
Sets a pretty firm example for the next guy.
Ala fat-ass on the Bills

This is leadership. Which is important.

You mean Marcel Dareus, whom after they traded he went on to a team and that teams run defense went from one of the worst to top 10. The team that almost made the superbowl but couldnt overcome their average QB play and ran into a team with terrible culture and still lost.

And then the Bills run defense fell apart.

Well they all have one unified vision during superbowl week, so that would technically be culture, no?
- ImThatGuy

Yes, EXACTLY!
You get it now, congrats.
Bad Culture.

One of the reasons Why the most talented team in football those years is 0-4 in championship games.

Damn that bad culture for missing a FG.

Damn them for running into the Dallas Cowboys who were in fact a more talented team than buffalo.

No, dareus had zero personal accountability. He will never live up to his potential. Rex also had a loose leash with all these players, So when mcd camr in, dareus wouldn't get with the program.

Because I don't understand how culture relates to winning, which no one has explained, nor can find an example of.

Yes, talent out, no talent infusion in.
The coach who understands culture had the leadership to dispose of the 3rd overall pick for a 5th rounder. Yup short term pain for long term gain.

That sounds like a Dareus problem, not a culture problem.

And, if culture was real, wouldn't Dareus be a good fit, because the culture would make him buy in? What does culture itself do?

Can we just agree that it's just a term and not an actual thing in itself?

Edit- I know you mostly agree, so I'm not really asking you

so we have a few examples of great teams with godawful "culture" who still had great results

we have tons of examples of individuals who are "culture killers" who changed teams and were great and so was their team

anyone know any less talented culture heroes who went to a talented team with bad culture and made them good? scott wilson?

That's what I was trying to say.

And yeah, I agree with you on your last part.

(frank) dareus. Suspensions and injuries because he was out of shape and didn't care
