I don't have to say anything you obviously have not seen him his defense game is thousand times better not everything's about how many times you can punch someone in the face and stacking up secondary points

And if you watched his breakout season when the Oilers made the playoffs then you would understand what I'm talking about he was absolutely incredible that year

- gerbe75pts

Risto's p/60 and A1 per 60 is better (.6 to .3), while their secondary assists are virtually identical. .5 to .4, so really, Klefbom is getting a bigger percentage of his points as secondary.

Anything else?

He is nothing, how is he better then Risto, he's not. You are clueless. You throw names out for no reason other then just to say, " Risto stinks because he doesn't listen."

Who is better defensively?

That should just end the argument

What I find funny is people who see a 31st team with too many holes to fill in reasonable time, and want to retain players of value who don’t fit the system the Coach and GM want to play. Insanity actually.

Even more absurd is thinking that an influx of players who have achieved virtually nothing in the AHL are going to miraculously turn into solid NHLers.

So the plan is to discharge the likes of Girgs, Larsson, Nolan, Pouloit, etc (who admiditly completely suck ass) with Bailey, Baptiste, and other AHL-level suck asses.

Sure, Dahlin is a franchise changing player no doubt...and Mitts looks solid to be sure. But that just leaves them still very short. Now they just need about 6 other upgrades in key positions to round out the team.

Are ROR, Risto and Reinhart poopty players - HELL NO. In fact they have high value across the league. Do the maximize Housley’s system...HELL NO.

Sounds reasonable to me to explore carefully constructed hockey trades that helps the team overall.

What metric do you want to use, or is the gerbe-eye-test only?

Boroweicki is all that’s left to do for the D and will cost a laut less. Let the kid skate around like he is Coffey. Let’s get this party started.

I don't even know why I'm arguing. Every stat I show, the answer is "he is not elite we should trade him for a player that is Elite"

Last year klef was crappy.
Had him on my "eich snipes" fantasy hockey team

Fantasy and reality
Risto all day every day.

He is out against the top stars in the nhl. He throws them off their game. It's more then points.

I agree, but Tabasco sauce specifically on a roast pork sandwich is really good. About the only thing I would use Tabasco sauce for.

You threw out the hottest take this side of suicidal wings and then you backed it up by saying "I watched him last year and he was good."

I have never heard anyone argue they were on the same level, let alone Klefbom being better

I take Risto over klefbom 10 times out of 10. However the trade proposal was Klefbom and the 10th overall pick. Depending on who is there at 10 I would at least ponder it. Klefbom and one of Dobson or Bouchard and you’d get two top 4 d-men for the price of 1.

He's way better defensively and a higher hockey iQ in that departmentthen ristolainen

Ristolainen has a higher calling in the offense

That's the difference
