So he's gone by next offseason. Just not this offseason... If Carolina is listening to offers on the 2nd overall pick I would move ROR, Nylander, Bailey and our first rounder next year and pick 32 this year for Svechnikov
- Pegullaville

2019 San Jose 1st or our 1st protected?

Otherside it's a reasonable offer for a change

Why make a reboot when the other ones were fine

It's just like Ghostbusters it didn't need to be made

- gerbe75pts

But it's not a reboot. The main character is Danny's sister. Linus (Matt Damon) is appearing in the movie. So are others from the Clooney flicks. The trailer sets it up that Danny is dead, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's not really the case and Clooney shows up at some point, too.

I am very much looking forward to it.

Meh
It’ll probably be ok, but I’m not expecting it to be as good as the Clooney pics

His “production” going by the Analytics Experts who look just at stats,
Ranks him around the 25th best Center in the league

- jdfitz77

And in two years, how many surpass him? 5-10 at least.

Sell now while he’s viewed as a top 25-30 Center.

Nylander blows
Bailey isn't good
32nd pick isnt a nfl 32nd pick.

Ror -kinda a cap dump
1st- hopefully we make the playoffs next year and it's a 20

$7.5 million for the 25th best center in the league gets you nowhere near a championship.

Again. Sell high.

It’s your expectations that are the problem,
not O’Reilly’s play

Yet the Analytics Experts disagree with you
And the commentators (mostly ex- players, coaches, gms) disagree
And apparently coaches & gms disagree
And even O’Reilly’s peers across the whole league disagree

So you’ll have to excuse me when i side with EVERYONE ELSE instead of you, Sbroads, 365, and a handful of others

The EXPERTS & the NUMBERS all say that ROR is roughly a top25 Center

- jdfitz77

Why do you keep restating, bolding, and caps locking this as though there's a consensus?

I've looked into a few of these rankings. The one I believe you're referencing rates RoR above Jack, and it's because of low penalty minutes and faceoffs. I don't think their work is above scrutiny and I certainly don't think there's consensus.

He has scored at an OHL rate that makes McDavid look mortal. This guy will be right up there with Laine and Ovi in terms of goal scoring. Especially with Eichel and Dahlin feeding him up the wing.

As long as we get a good return, fine
Otherwise I’d keep him
Idk that we agree on what a “good return” would be though?

Also,
What u said above is super reasonable
It’s when u go off the deep end about him that i fire back at ya

Would you trade ROR, Nylander, Bailey 32, and 1st rounder lottery protected for Laine ?

We would probably have to take salary back and add more realistically.

Why would. Carolina consider trading him?

Although that #2 pick must feel like found money

Because there is a consensus
Even in Sbroads own words,
“the analytics community loves O’Reilly”

His peers voted him “most underrated”

Everyone on here, even those who wanna trade ROR, say that he’s held in high regard across the league (by GMs & Coaches)

So u tell me...
how is that not a “consensus” sir?
