Zadina wil be an impact player, while none of Veleno, Hayton or Kotakniemi will. I wouldn't mind Kotkaniemi though.
As for the D, they could still grab a decent one with their 2nd round pick. - Habsody

And then move the 25th and Alzner to Edmonton for the 10th?
That would be sweet!! |

I still haven't gotten over the contingent of Oiler fans (not necessarily on this website) that defended the Hall/Larsson swap by saying that they got what needed so who cares what they gave up.
That's like running out of bread and trading in your car to buy more. |

Like selling your TV to pay for the cable bill?
Larsson will most likely walk as a UFA next summer... Mcdavid and Hall would of been deadly for years with Draisaitl centering the 2nd |

I'm on the fence about that one, if Bergevin really believes he has a shot at Tavares, would it be in his best interest to move Pacioretty now? I'd like to see how high a pick Byron with the 35th and 38th picks could get them... |

You have Drouin, Patches and Galchenyuk at LW with both Drouin and Galchenyuk locked. On the other corner, you have a 30 goals scorer entering the final year of his contract looking for a hefty raise. Last year, we also saw that he doesn't have any leadership whatsoever. So you have 2 options: trade him and get a pretty good return, or plan to play 27 at center and extend your captain while giving captaincy to Weber...or Tavares |

I'm still hoping to see Galchenyuk at C, not sure the odds of it actually happening but it's still the move that makes the most sense, especially if they snatch up JT or an actual first line C. Galchenyuk centering Gallagher and Drouin would be a real decent 2nd line |

They need to give him a chance at center, i mean he was drafted to play at that position and he is a natural center. If he plays center, i would separate Drouin and Galchenyuk though, they are too poor defensively to play together as seen last year. |

They would be more suited for a 2nd line, they wouldn't be matched up against other top lines, that alone would help |

True, but if they really land a no1 center, then Drouin (aka our most offensively gifted winger) needs to play on the top line. Can't wait for the draft to see if finally MB has a plan since the no-plan plan didn't pan out. |

If everything works out in their favor id rather see Tavares with Pacioretty and Zadina with Drouin down on the 2nd |

That would be the most likely scenario for Pacioretty and Tavares to be on a line and Zadina and Drouin to be on a line. |
