Pretty sure that guy was trolling with the trade Morin thing. - Pixote Andolini
No, he is pretty much been trying to take that "Morin is a bust trade him now" beach by himself for a few weeks now. |

As I have been saying all year, we cant underestimate what a long playoff run and possibly a championship in a pro league will do for the confidence and development of our prospects.
Lots have been screaming about getting them in the NHL as fast as possible.
I say, not so fast, look at what is happening here. Just let it happen naturally and in 2 years we will look back and laugh at how silly we were having endless debates about Jiri Lehtera, Dale Weise, Brandon Manning, trading Sam Morin etc etc etc (infinity)

Oh, we will still have debates. When G doesn't have a 100 point season they will be calling for his head and say what a waist of a captain he is. Or Provy doesn't want to win bad enough because he didn't tear up on the bench. Hart will have a bad game and they will say we are back to the goalie crisis. |

I never said we wouldn't be having debates. Some of them will still be as silly as ever, this is Philly after all, and we still have a good portion of people who get all their marching orders from WIP. |

The 70's called! They say the game has changed but what it takes to win hasn't. Dustin Byfuglien, Tyler Myers, Blake Wheeler, Patrick Laine, even Mark Scheifele is a big guy!
Flyers need to get bigger. Jets are huge and probably the funniest team to watch right now. - SuperSchennBros
Big but with the ability to skate well. if you ask me, which you didn't, winning the cup is about the ability to skate and defend of course |

There it is.
No one in their right mind, when offered two players of the exact same skill levels, would not choose the player who is 20lbs heavier and 3 inches taller. |

As did I, one of the worst trades not only from the Flyers standpoint, but from a league standpoint, in the last ten years.

The one trade I can think that almost takes the Flyers off the hook for this deal is the Hall for Larsson deal. |

Those characteristics were some of the hallmarks of those Kings teams that won. Hextall said as much when he took this Flyers GM gig. |

Looking where they both ended up, one could make that argument. Though I would say Larsson is a much better dman than Luke Schenn could ever hope to be.
But seeing how it effected both teams so quickly, it is still a good comparison.
