Morin is a big disappointment for me. Might be time for the Flyers to shop him around and see what the value is, or put him in a package deal. - twpguy
It's understandable to be frustrated with the speed of Morin's progress but as everyone agrees, it would've be prudent to shop him.
That said, I would stuff my fingers in my ears if some team came a knocking with an interesting offer that included Sam... say if the Cains ticked the tires on moving the 2nd pick for a couple of the Flyers' early DP's and Morin, I wouldn't immediately hang up. |

If he keeps playing well in the AHL playoffs, I’d rather have him over Neuvirth. At least Lyon doesn’t get injured getting out of bed. - BiggE
He might be making it less likely the flyers press to go out and find another goalie. Lyon should be given a fair shot in camp to win a job with the flyers.
I’m fine with the flyers coming back with this group of goalies for next year. I want s clean break ( no neuvirth, no Elliott) after next year and assess what we have with the young goalies in the organization |

As long as Neuvy is around, being the first injury call up for the Phantoms is as good as being the backup, status-wise.
Financially, that's another story. |

I thought Lyon was fine in his short NHL Time, The first game he looked very weak, a few low goals that shouldnt have been scored on but 2nd game he adjusted and after that he seemed to rebound and play pretty darn well.......When teams have a book on him is where the true tests come in and how he adjusts but I have absolutely hope they give him a fair shot, The kid has earned it Anyone watching these AHL games has to see at least fair potential - as much so as most anyone your going to sign as a backup. Team seems to like to play in front of him too. |

I don’t see anyone on the phantoms that will be able to handle a 3C role at all next year. I think they have to dip into UFA. They’re going to overpay for one. That’s just how it works in UFA. Voroybyov could be the 3C down the line but next year might be rushing his timetable. They need to at least have a veteran option - Just5
I understand the logic, but over paying a Reilly Smith doesn't make sense for me. Any UFA who is even somewhat good is going to get over 3 years, too long for my liking. Going to be an interesting summer. |

Bring back Homer, sign Tavares and then Couts can go back to 3C where he belongs. Problem solved

re lyon: i thought he looked a lot better in his last flyers callup. hopefully this playoff run is a springboard to better things for him, and hopefully in a flyers jersey! |

Hey, maybe Lyon keeps in rolling in the NHL next year. No reason to give him just as good of a shot as those other fools |

Hexy cleaned up the cap mess and acquired a number of draft picks and prospects. Homer could wipe those out acquiring older vets with a win now mentality. LOL |

I'm wondering what it would take to move up from 14 to 10. I think the Oilers would be open to moving down a few spots. Maybe a 2nd? That would get us in position to grab Farabee.
Then just got BPA at 19, which to me is likely going to be a D man in this draft. |

If Morin's injury is long term and recovery takes him well into the season, what is his status? I assume he goes on IR, but do the Flyers get a waiver exemption to send him to the AHL in order to rehab? - KINGKENZO

To trade Morin now would be foolish. Atlanta made that mistake with Coburn in 2008. - BiggE

I do think Lyon will be resigned and start the year in LV with Hart. I think Stollie is the odd man out. I hope Hexy does something other then bring back the Elliott/Neuvy tandem. I would rather see Hexy fill in the bottom six with Phantoms then go the UFA route again. I just don't see value in the UFA market for a 3rd line center. Trade market sure, but no more Weise or Gordon signings please. - ravishingone
I would re-sign both. No way I move on from Stolarz so soon. you can always figure out what to do with a goalie later |

I hope they find a way to keep Stolarz, assuming he is healthy to start the season. I think Stolarz handled him self well at the NHL level last season. I think (hope) he can be a good NHL backup goalie. Right now though, they have too many goalies for available positions. Someone has to go. |
