Interesting read on players take home pay

I'm not an accountant but deal closely with mine, so I'm basing this on what I know. Yes you pay taxes in each province or state throughout the year when you're working but when you file your yearend taxes your rate is based on where you reside.

So, if you play in Montreal but you reside in Alberta or New Jersey you're going to get money back from the high amount of taxes you paid in Quebec. Unless you own a home and your primary residence is Montreal. Then you're (frank)ed.

I would avoid any kid that has had multiple concussions in their draft year...Woo, Bustvist etc.
- CanuckDon

So would I but I've never read Woo had one.

He declared me a non resident of Canada so I'm paying zero income tax right now and the CRA is pissed but I'm fully within the law

(frank)in rights, the first two income tax brackets don't pay enough taxes, its unfairly left to the higher wage earners.

I am ok with him but I suspect he is gone before 7. bpa. whoever Judd and Benning feel that is is fine.

I like Stecher but I am not sure how much trade value he has. Biega was rewarded with an extension because of his effort of compete . Stecher has a high level too but the problem is even though the effort is there the results are not . We have a lot of players that try hard but can't put up points.

I will ask Makita what he thinks Stecher's trade value is at.

You have a chance to go in a different direction with a bit more money to fill holes with different stop gap player. Or you can chose the ones we have

- VANTEL

Stecher may not have much trade value but he's the kind of guy you want to hang on to. His underlying stats show that he played at a top 4/second pairing level this year, despite not putting up the points. I would pin that on weak teammates(MDZ) and a low shooting %.

The CA year in review for him shows that he was a better PKer than Tanev this year and that his points total was directly impacted by the fact that Green refused to put him on the PP

I would just switch to the Coyotes. Pretty simple as I am almost splitting my time down there now

Nice, it's too hot down there right now but it's such an awesome place. Summers on the coast and winters down there when I'm done work.

i like what ive read about boqvist. he's a bit of a project on the defensive side but his offensive skills are sorely needed in van.

still a bit torn between him and bouchard if hughes is gone but i'd be fine they take a bit of a high risk high rewrad guy. excluding erhroff in 2011 the canucks havent had a 50 point dman since lumme in '96

Messaged guy with season tickets. He said yes he believed he did have one concussion this season. Also said no to drafting him. Didnt specify as to why though.
