Yeah it's pretty sad.
Hell, most pundits had the Sixers missing the playoffs, and finishing right around .500. Certainly even the most optimistic folks never had them winning a playoff round. FFS, they're probably one of, if not the youngest teams in the NBA and they will likely have yet another lottery pick with the Lakers pick at the 2018 draft. This team is going to be a monster for a long time.
All in all, it's a great time to be a Philly sports fan.
The Flyers made the playoffs, have a great prospect group, 2 first round picks in the top 20 in the upcoming draft and they'll be shedding more dead weight just by letting guys on expiring contracts walk. They are set up to soon be a top team for a long time. Also, their minor league team, which is being fueled from some great play by prospects like Lyon, Lindblom, Vecchione, and Myers is doing great in the AHL playoffs.
The Phillies are well over .500 and have some great young arms and bats. They have an owner who is willing to spend like the big boys too so you have to think that they will be a contender pretty soon.
And while I know as a Cowboy fan you probably don't want to hear this, but the Eagles just won the (frank)ing Superbowl and they are still the class of the NFC East going into 2018 and are a legit contender to win it again.
How any Philly sports fan can be negative right now is something that I just can't understand. - BiggE
so excited to get down to some phils games this summer.
the cruel cycle of life. finally have some financial flexibility to see multiple games, but dont have the time.

Yeah, I said last night Embiid was clearly fouled, but I still think he should've made the layup. Those are the types of calls that don't get made against a team like the Celtics that play physical defense all year, unfortunately. I also think the 76ers being a young team plays a role in that as well.
Next series it will be different for the Celtics. Lebron is a freight train that will get the correct fouls called on him. Cavs in 5 or 6 imo. |

The Sixers will be an eastern conference powerhouse. They'll get the calls sooner rather than later
That being said I'm not overly surprised the refs swallowed their whistles. Is it right? No, but it's definitely one of those "I'm gonna let the players play so I don't decide the game" scenarios. |

For sure. I prefer whistle free basketball. And the missed call on Embiid at the end certainly wasn't why they lost.
David Murphy has a solid column on the Sixers today. Basically saying this series was a necessary evil to show Ben/Embiid what the next step to greatness is. |

Bigger question. Where’s Hartnell?
Lose or lose Laviolette has to be the smartest coach in the room. |

I think the clock strikes midnight on Vegas. The Jets are a buzzsaw
My opinion on the Knights is annoyance. I'd have no real issues with them winning the Cup but they do annoy me in that "seriously?" type tone.
Like you said though they also have Fleury and Neal. Ew. |

I am amused that both Kyrie's former team and his current team both made the Eastern Conference Finals without him. |
