Which is factually untrue, as I've proven - using hard stats - several times.

You have some personal issues with him

- jcragcrumple

When we aquired Ror , he was the best Sabre on the team . Now he is payed like one and we expect him to play like it . Not have petty reasons why didn't . Does he need alone time and a therapist?

Not gonna get into the specifics, because they'll be disregarded anyway, but look at the dobber hockey page on Wilson. ROR made him better
- jcragcrumple

Yes, compared to Larsson m, O’Reilly is Crosby

Scheifele > Eichel. Too bad. Friggin Winnipeg gets Scheifele and Sabres get stuck with Joel Armia. Effin bum. Coulda had Rackell. FML

he is paid to be the solution though

just because one does not view him as a problem, does not mean a new gm doesn't view him as a key piece in an up tempo north/south game

- homiedclown

He might not fit the style of play Botts wants... but that’s a different convo

And u (& others) keep making it out like this is all RORs FAULT

U say he’s not the solution...
but not every guy who’s paid a lot has to be a “leader”
Look at Kessel in Toronto vs Kessel in Pitt

Are McDavid or OEL bad leaders?
Or just on bad TEAMS?

The bottom line is that O’Reilly is a good player
All this “leadership” talk is just nonsense imo (unless he’s actually a PROBLEM in the room)

This needs to be Jack’s team anyways
How come no one is talking about Jack doing something “in the room” to change the culture?
Seems like he just gets a pass

the glue trap got the head

turned out he was much bigger than what my wife and friend said, he was a 3 footer

he almost got off the trap when I opened the door and saw how big he was

I had a hoe and shovel in hand, and told the wife to bring some peroxide home for the carpet

the caesar sat this one out

I'm not gonna change your mind or homie's mind, or anybody's mind. I accept that. I'm just glad that by July 1, he'll either be traded or this talk will have to die down for a while.

All he needs is a hot dog stand.
- SABRES 89

He has no idea how good a hot dog can be. What Roby is to Yancy’s fancy he’d be to Zweigles.

again, what they will do with casey this fall will determine ror's future here

there is zero chance one of them is a 3rd line center in 2019-20

- homiedclown

Idk about that?
Seems like Botts is in favor of “building down the middle” and loves our Center depth

So if the plan is to eventually move Casey up to 2C...
is E Rod, or Asplund, (or whoever), gonna produce in the 3C role to keep us deep at the position?

I might be reading into it a bit,
but that seems to be important to Botts

I don't think Kessel matches his production of the past two seasons. I probably would have done this two seasons ago willing to live with the decline if the production in the first 2-3 years made a material difference. At this point, all you are getting is decline.

botts has eichel and ror

and drafts casey and davidsson right off the bat

no chance he was drafting one of them to be our 4th line center

Apparently the “room is a mess” though
Will he be the Pittsburgh Kessel,
or revert to the Toronto version if he comes here?

Very good player
But i do think that’s a reasonable question to ask
Especially bc he won’t come cheap
