I did as well until I broke down and threw a double sawbuck at the problem. Then it all went away... |

Yes, but I do seem to win a lot of prizes through Facebook so I guess that's a win |

Against Latvia yesterday, each had two assists - one each on the PP, one each 5x5. AdB's were primary. Each assisted on White's goal at EV.
How bad could they have been together? - StLBravesFan
Kane had two secondary assist and didn't do much of anything all game. 6 shots on net but most were the Blackhawk special right into the goalies gut. Debrincat had a nice primary assist on the 2nd USA goal but it should have been stopped anyway. They don't look good together because they both need the puck to be effective, once they got split up Debrincat played better. He needs the puck to make a quick move then shoot. Same as Kane. He doesn't do the one timer thing like Panarin did. |

What looks horrible? Timing/passing? ADB deferring too much? Turnovers? - Chunk
They looked better apart. They both need the puck on their sticks to make a quick move then shoot or pass, once they were split up Debrincat played better and was player of the game for the USA (voted on by the opponent) |

I think AdB is better with the quick shot off a pass from (say) Kane - or a quick move and shot - I'm not sure he needs the puck on his stick to be effective - he needs to be able to get to the spots from which he can score, and he needs someone to get him the puck when he does.
Just IMO.... |

Probably schmaltz or forsling - ToewsdNKanefusd
Ahhhh.....NO WAY on Schmaltz. I wouldn't give up on him for a gamble 10th pick that probably won't be ready for a few years....and may be a bust. You trade veterans like AA for draft choices, not our possible #1 center of the future.
Forsling ??? Again just a kid with raw talent that has a very high ceiling.
Anisimov and Ruuta ?? Done !!

I'm lucky, as my work must run some ad blocking software. I used to get adds at work, now I never do, it is sooo much better without ads! |

Forsling isn't that good and Anisimov and Rutta don't even get close to being worth 10th overall. |

I was thinking from the oilers perspective. I don't want Schmaltz gone either, I think it would be a big mistake to trade him away. |

HAWKS best move would be to move Keith at the draft .Send him to Flo or TO get their 1st and some prospects .Flo makes the most sense with Dale there and the tax situation for Keith ,also the pick would be better . And hopefully Coach Q up would have another melt down and storm out ,and never come back ..!! - oldduffman
NICE !! Well played.
I just heard some talk out of Carolina fan base about discussions on trade.
Again....TALK....hopefully no merit.
Saad and Murphy for
Terravainen and Slavin ???
Carolina Dreamin ??

Actually I wonder if the Oilers would take Saad and the Nashville pick for the 10th overall?
EDIT: And no, I don't want Saad traded, I like him a lot as a player. |

Winnipeg's cap hell looming for this offseason:
RFAs: Hellebuyck, Trouba, Morrissey, Lowry, Armia, Tanev, Dano
UFAs: Stastny, Matthias, Enstrom, Hendricks, Hutchinson
Situation for 2019 offseason:
RFAs: Laine, Copp, Connor
UFAs: Wheeler, Myers, Chiarot
I hope they win it this year, because I genuinely like their team. But I also wouldn't mind each of these players getting a post-cup big head. - ObeseOprah

Saad + a first rounder for the 10th overall pick.. that would be an awful trade IMO. Why would the Hawks dump Saad for so little value? |

In such a deep draft, I don't know that the Oilers take anything less than that...
I'm trying to look at it from what the Oilers would want, not what the Hawks would give up, as that is the question that was asked.
They need help on defense, and immediate help, not a prospect for the future. So I can only see them wanting a good two-way forward, or a defensive defenseman that is already playing in the NHL. |

Ya...that would be a terrible trade front the Hawks’ perspective.
Nashville’s pick and Forsling for Edmonton’s first round pick. |

Seems like a steep price when some have said the quality might drop a lot at 8th or 9th. |

I've heard different, as the first center may not be taken until 8th or 9th, I think the drop-off is more like 12 -15, at least from what I have read. |

I won't claim to personally know where the biggest drop in talent will be, but I've heard different opinions on it. I think that far out, it can start to become a lot less clear. If Edmonton was dealing something like 3rd overall, that would be a different story. You could still be trading a top 6 winger in his prime + a 1st round pick for a bust but the risk would be a lot less. I think selling low on Saad would be a huge mistake for the team. |
