Man, would I love to hear some recordings of what really goes on and is said in some of those meetings. Anything to do with the TDL, free agency or the draft. I wonder how much of Aquilini's annoying, squeaky voice we would hear?

That is probably possible but the chances that 3 D are the BPA left, I doubt it. Van needs high end D. The forwards aren't fixed either, not drafting a high end forward somewhere in the first 3 rounds. Didn't sign any free agents CHL/College free agents this year.

I just hope that Benning sticks to this years plan.

I saw some people commenting on an article about Lockwood about a scenario where because of his injury if he doesn't light it up next year the Canucks might not be sold on signing him at the end of the season. If he goes back for another year he can then become a FA the following summer. Probably a non issue since JB seems so sold on him already, but man would that suck.

Very true. A CDN cup champ doesn't help Gary pump the markets he needs to pump. It's as much about cash as anything else to keep the CDN teams down. If people don't believe that Bettman doesn't have influence in this one way or the other then they shouldn't be watching Hockey

Of course I can't find it now. It was a conversation about OJ's abilities and if he was the right choice at his draft position. Someone mentioned that he has motivation and conditioning issues. Another made reference to JV. It was funny but disheartening to hear that even mentioned in the same sentence with our highly ranked prospect.

I wonder how many teams over the summer will try and emulate LVGK and just trade for a roster. Draft be damned. The New Model.

I'm honestly confused as to what a rebuild means for this team. We are already going to have a very young roster this year with only 3 players over the age of 30(one of whom is Biega). Seems to me there's not much left to tear down now that the Sedins are gone. Goaltending is coming, forwards are coming, hopefully at this and the next draft they can build up our prospects on D and supplement our prospects at fwd.

Unless all that you mean by rebuild is refuse to make trades for or sign players who are too old/could become anchors.
