a mid range 1st is worth more than 2 seconds imo. Not awful to hold out for a better offer
- NorthNuck

I know Moj has said a few of his buddy's who are scouts are very concerned about the injury history

It isn't a very deep draft so a mid first is way more valuable than a pair of mid 2nds imo. Should be some great prospects through out the top 20

If leaf management had to make a choice, who would they jettison first; Babcock or Matthews?

So you call that thing between your legs a vagina?

Dude, we are built to satisfy our own needs. And do it quickly I might add. It's one of the only thinks left that makes being male enjoyable.

If Matthews gets McJesus money then in my eyes he becomes a cap dump.

That kinda money for a guy who looked pedestrian in the playoffs is ridiculous

On a very good team, Tanev is the kind of veteran piece that quietly helps you win you a championship. He can play his shut down role and isn't forced to lay his body on the line every shift because the puck is perpetually in the defensive zone.

Somebody like Tampa Bay, Washington, Winnipeg or Vegas would be a better potential destination for him. He'd be a final piece to the puzzle for someone like that and they'd be in a position to give up a high draft pick and perhaps a very good young D prospect in exchange for the consistency and cost certainty he provides.

Toronto and the Oilers likely aren't good trading partners because they couldn't justify paying the Canucks enough for him. His injury history would be more of a concern to those types of team because they're just not good enough. He'd have to take too many risks on a nightly basis and would still be getting hit with pucks too often.

Well, to bad you can't cap dump a $6M per year coach.

At least you can get a return on Matthews. I suggest do it before his personality issues become publicly known.
