We were watching a game and it was either between periods or post game. He says, "Sometimes you eat peas with a knife and you still get nourishment". My father and I looked at each other with absolute WTF faces. I couldn't stand him when I was younger but now I don't mind him, probably because I rarely see him. - JRR1285
My favorite thing like that was a Mets-Cubs game from sometime in the 90's and Harry Caray was broadcasting the game from the bleachers at Wrigley. David Cone was pitching for the Mets, and just out of the blue Caray says "Cone spelled backwards is enoc". I was rolling.

Only thing that would have made it better was if it was in Ireland. - mdw7413
Don't want to open the political discussion, BUT, a potato peeler? Really? Maybe he was lending it to his neighbor and forgot to lock it in a safety case for transport.

Legit question. How are you supposed to buy one from a store and transport it home?

As per the Bruins blog, it was revealed that, excluding Krug out for Game 5 (fractured foot from Game 4), plus Backes suffering his head injury in that final game, as well as Carlo who had been out much longer with his broken ankle, 5 others played in the postseason through injuries which will require rest and possibly off season treatment for some. Those five were Acciari, Bergeron, DeBrusk, Riley Nash (& not Ricky), plus the Marchand the Licker (groin).
If you read just the first of only a page worth of comments following the blogger's opening one, an Oilers fan had commented:
"Thought maybe Marchand HYPER EXTENDED HIS TONGUE. Guess he wasn't trying hard enough".

Speaking of those slumping Mets, who after trading Matt Harvey to the woeful Reds yesterday, & also just lost their second of 3 against them this afternoon, during the 1st inning of today's 3rd game of their road series at Cincinnati, the Mets BATTED OUT OF ORDER. That in rarely happening, did just occur two seasons ago with the Brewers doing so in a game vs. the Nationals.

As to Jan's question posed in his blog title, I can't see Gorton pulling a deal to acquire Carolina's 2nd overall pick, or any other team's 1st Round one down to #5 or 6 overall for now.
First, he still hasn't named a new "developmental" head coach, plus an assistant coach yet, (though that's usually chosen by the head coach).
Second, Gorton still has to assess the situations very soon with his own free agents to be re-signed & not let walk, or for which key ones may be dealt, part of which would depend on who the new head coach would be.
Third, Gorton cannot presume that any specific outside free agents would "definitely" want to sign here who he may want to pursue, which is out of his control until July 1st, as it is with all other GM's doing likewise as well. So trading a Hayes just because he may want to pursue Tavares, doesn't mean he will land Tavares, if he even reaches free agency.
As a result of the three factors above, it's likely that a trade to move up in the draft to at least pick #5 or 6, will not likely occur until just prior to, or on or during Day One of the draft itself at close to its very beginning. Without first having a new head coach still, it's not possible to deal any current signed key roster players, no less any top pick selections, until the above first two of three factors become greatly assessed, and preferably by some time prior to the start of the Cup Finals.

So Gorton has to:
hire a coaching staff
oversee a draft
sign his UFA/RFA
