I have no idea. Nor do I have any idea why anyone cares what he has to say, because 90% of the crap that comes out of his mouth is painfully bad.

I've always wondered if it's just old age getting to him or his hockey takes were just awful forever.

We were watching a game and it was either between periods or post game. He says, "Sometimes you eat peas with a knife and you still get nourishment". My father and I looked at each other with absolute WTF faces. I couldn't stand him when I was younger but now I don't mind him, probably because I rarely see him.

I remember him always taking shots at the rangers when it was sports channel

Yup. Then a few years later Stan was "working the locker room".

Yeah I don't see too much of him because I don't watch the pregame/between periods/postgame garbage, but when I have heard him talk...it's mostly been "WTF faces" as well.

Dobson is anywhere between 8 and 15 in different rankings I've seen. Not that i put much stock into that but what's the uncertainty there? seems like a solid late, top 10 pick.

Xavier Bouchard plummet is fascinating to watch. Kid was was a top 20 prospect in Septemver, ranked ahead of Evan Bouchard.

I think he should go higher. He won't bring the offesnive dynamic Boqvist does. But he's a better defender.

I just realized that there is only one Canadian born player ranked in the top 10 (Bouchard)

thanks to this list having little flags of the players on it

Highest ranked Canadian prospect. Tons of Euros and Americans at the top. Veleno was supposed to be that, but it took him 2 and half years and trade to finally start to be the player everybody thought he could be.

He's a safe pick, but his upside isn't as high as some of the other defenders. Personally, he reminds me a lot of Calvin de Haan. Decent junior scoring numbers, good skater, nice size, and steady. But not a take-the-game-over type of player. Probably won't put up a ton of points in the NHL.

And now you know why I was banging that drum of Evan Bouchard. Any time I watched a Knights stream, he was awesome. I want. But I won't get.

I was gonna a player like Anton Stralman. But De Haan works.

yeah, I would love if they pulled it off somehow, I can't see Ottawa passing him up

Even if he did, one of Arizona or Detroit would scoop him up.

Just everything about him reminds me of de Haan when he was drafted. Average scoring numbers, size, being described as "smooth skating". Not saying he'll be better/worse/the same, but it's eerily similar.

If he ends up like either of those guys that's a pretty damn good pick, but certainly not a dynamic one.

I'd take anything on that right side. Rangers have zero depth on that side outside of Shattenkirk and Pionk.

I wonder if they still think they have anything with deAngelo

I know most of us kind of count him out, but I wonder if organization does

I hear that, but whoever you're taking at 9 is probably at least two years out from the NHL. Shattenkirk and Pionk probably will hold down the right side for at least that long. And this is the sentence where I bang the BPA-drum again.

Pionk took DeAngelo's job and he's better at it than DeAngelo.

One morning in spring training, 2017, he was in the coaches’ room looking at his cell phone text messages. Ichiro told the coaches about one message he had just received from a number he didn’t recognize. The guy said he’d gotten Ichiro’s number from Alex Rodriguez, and that he wanted to come meet him and study his stretching system.

“What’s the guy’s name?” asked one of the coaches.

Ichiro strolled to the end of the text. “Some guy named Tom Brady. Who the f— is Tom Brady?”
