But seriously, the downside of Hughes is that he can be so offensively minded that he flies the zone to early. When Michigan retrieves the puck in the defensive zone, he's flying up the ice like a winger. That needs to be fixed a little.

He reminds me a lot of Werenski, in that he's sort of a rover. Something tells me he won't fall as far as Werenski though.

Regardless, Michigan has turned into quite the defenseman-factory lately. Bode Wilde is starting to grow on me and he is committed there next year.

Kabanov free-fell down the draft rankings over the course of the entire year. I'd be surprised if someone didn't take a chance on Merkley before the end of the 2nd round and I could certainly see someone taking a flyer on him in the late-first. I'm sure it'll be Garth Snow.
