He's very good. He's undersized but skilled. Probably like a Tory Krug type of player. I'd like Wahlstrom, Dobson or Bouchard. I just think with RHD being a premium in the NHL, and 3 at the top, all are going to go before that 9th overall spot.
Rangers get an immediate impact rookie good for 40-50 points give or take next season and Canes get 3 high talent developmental prospects, one of which may or may not play in the NHL next season.
There's been a bunch of mid to late round hits lately and there's some strong talent throughout the entire 1st round.
However, it was my understanding that the Rags were trying to rebuild and restock a below average prospect pool (ranked 23rd by THW), but I bet that ranking moved up during the TDL with the addition of Lindgren. - TheSabresTaco
If Pete V says you want Hughes, you want Hughes. Cause Pete V is smart and not a lunatic like me. - tomburton99
I can't really compare Boqvist and Hughes for instance, because I have seen Hughes play a ton and Boqvist not so much. But I am confident that Hughes will be a real good player based on what I have seen. He was top notch as a freshman at Michigan.

Honestly, if Boqvist or Hughes is still available at 9 I would be thrilled with either. - Pete V
Is he going back to Michigan? Funny how defenseman seem to get smaller every year. Seems most of the d-men in the draft are either somewhat undersized or slightly above average
