i agree with this honestly.
i think his contract is gonna be really big though, to where i dont know if its doable. - stayinthefnnet
My mindset on E Kane, was to get him and let Horny walk/trade both at the deadline. His game would replace Horny pretty well. Hes no longer obtainable without a LOT of shuffling on the team. |

Ovechkin is the greatest goal scorer in NHL history.
And he gets all kinds of bullpoop for not winning a cup when he's one of the better active producers in the playoffs and he gets a bunch of undeserved hate.
He's exciting to watch. He scores, he hits, he looks like a caveman. He's fun to watch. When the Pens are out, I root for players that I enjoy watching over teams. - j.boyd919
Ovi is my favorite non flyer for those reasons. also hes russian and i am too |

what's your definition of greatest?
Pure number? he's climbing the list, but not at the very top.
Style? probably 500 of his 600+ are one-timers from the left circle.
Just curious... |

After getting lucky and winning Game 1, felt like Sully and the coaches rested on their laurels not getting Malkin in there for game 2
Had the chance to get the foot on their throat early and felt like after winning game 1, game 2 wasn't a "must win"
They are all "Must win" |

Given that Tampa ousted a great team in Boston the way they did, and the status of Backstrom, I like Tampa in ECF. People often forget this is their 3rd trip to the conference final in 4 years. They know how to win, they're deeper than ever, and have home ice. Bolts/Knights final, knights in 7, fleury wins conn smythe. |

Life is good! It’s all down hill for the Pens from here on. Getting older, and the farm system is a little bare. 👍 |

Stop. I'm sorry, but Ovechkin could not hold either Mario's or Gretzky's jock in that department. If I need a goal to save the world, Mario is my guy. If you want to say best goal scorer of the Cap Era, I'm down with that, but best in history. Not even close. |

We will just pull wingers out of our asses like we did with Rust and Sheary and co, and be back to oust you guys in another series that'll be the 'goalie' and or 'coach's' fault. |

And when we wake up tomorrow, we will still be able to savor 5 Cups since 1991. You are right, life is GOOD! |

Comical. We'll be right back as a serious contender next year, and Giroux and his ginger brother Jake will be stealing their 8mil paychecks. Great playoffs those bums had... |

We gave up a lot of breakaway goals, seemed like all were when Letang was on the ice but another problem was no depth scoring. Did a forward other than Hornquist, Guentzel or Sid score in this series.
Malkin and Phil were obviously hurt but we need to get some depth scoring. Sheary does nothing anymore. Love Hags but he can't be in top 6 without scoring goals. I love Brassard trade but man was he a disappointment. Didn't even get anything from Big Game Rust. Its a shame ZAR got hurt because I was hoping he be that depth scoring for his. He and Sprong need top 9 minutes next year. |

If that’s what you’re going with, good luck! As Sindy, Phil, Geno and Letang get older, they have no one to replace them with. Maybe they can tank, and have Buttman gift them lottery picks again?? |

Its hard to compare across eras, but its important to keep in mind eras nevertheless.
