I’m not doom and gloom mostly due to the 2 cups but I am really tired of watching Leturnover at this point. He has been pretty awful defensively all post season.

I was also never really sold on brass when the traded for him but at this point injury or otherwise he’s just not helping much at all. I mean at least win some important face offs for the team.

Whatever, I’ll likely be missing most if not all of this game which sucks so hopefully they win so I can see the next one.

Reaves gets more ice time with the Best team in the league in his playoff debut than he got here in a game in a 4-0 victory in Jan. He was absolutely flying last night. Kind of funby watching Reaves and Engelland play so many third period minutes last night when they aren’t suppose to belong anywhere near this league. Meanwhile in Pittsburgh Brassard is drowning Phil Kessel.

while the Pens have one of the best forward groups today and the setiment is they need D, how is the futrue for the O, when Croby, Malkin and Kessel are out of their prime?

hahah concerned about it, are we?

The Pens D is better than it was the last run, its just when they make a glaring mistake it ends up in their net this year. Not getting the big saves at important times as much as they have in the past.

This was very smart troll attempt though, I give it a 8 out or 10.

Its game day and the players, owners, staff and fans of 24 other teams would love to be in all of our shoes.

One period at a time tonight.

Let the players embrace the challenge, let the fans embrace the excitement.

The way I see it is that Letang, Kessel and Murray all have to bring their "A" Game tonight. If they do not, the series is over tonight. All four line have to roll as well. AND where the hell is Brassard???? They paid a huge price for nothing!!!

I thought Brass and his line were the best line for either team last game.

I think even Letang's "B" game would suffice. Kessel was better in the last game and I see Murray bouncing back tonight. Push this to a game 7 and see what happens.

Better, maybe, but I expected way more from him in these playoffs.

I don't feel it this year either and I don't think they come back against the Caps. You last thought is the issue and mainly with the defense.

Letang has just been subpar this year. I fully expected him to take over half of a season to come around after his injury issue, but he's just hasn't been the player they need him to be.

I honestly think letting Daley walk hurt the Pens defense, but I can't argue with the financial/contract issues on why they let him walk; they had to. I also think moving Cole was a mistake.

Next season, IMO the Pens need to tweak the defense just a little bit and they'll be back to where they should be.

I would say it was moreso letting Cole go instead of adding more picks or prospects. Ottawa was never going to keep him anyways

Cole would certainly have helped this post season.

Aside from Geno taking all of these penalties, he didn't look himself last game. I'm not saying he's hurt but I don't think we saw his 100% effort and that stinks

Congrats to former Penguins Marc-Andre Fleury and Ryan Reaves in being key contributors to the Vegas Golden Knights trip to the WCF.

Except Malkin had the most 5v5 on ice scoring chances and high danger shot attemps.

MAF, sure. Plus Perron and Neil. Reaves has only played in one game however.

He's obviously playing hurt, just like Kessel. The really sucky part is that to win the series it now must go 7, so they get no extra time to heal.

Probably were statistically speaking. I just liked the work ethic and hustle of Brass' line. The team as a whole looked great to me for the most part....its just the big blatant gaffes ended up in their net. The Caps blatant gaffes were stopped by Holtby.

Brass line played well and generated lots of shots but not many scoring chances.

They were. Brass/Sheary/Kuhn line was giving the Caps fits all night. Crosby's line got crushed 5v5.
