Hard to imagine they could get passed Jets or Preds, but nobody thought they would make playoffs let alone get passed King/Sharks. I got laughed at when i said they would make second round.

Nobody thought they could gel like they have so quickly. Doesn’t hurt getting a starter to hold down the fort. Many teams would have done better if they had Fleury.

I just spent 5 days in the hospital almost died last week. The nurse told me I was a medical wonder. Some of the nurses actually shook my hand. She told me that the pain threshold for a normal flu is 200 . My pain threshold was over 8000. They put me on IV for three days and it returned to normal. I had a reaction to a new med they put me on a few weeks earlier . I can not begin to tell you how painful it was but it was 400 times stronger than a Flu.

For the next two months only liquid meals no alcohol and no fun.

I said they'd make the WCF (along with Nashville but that's not all that likely now) and I also said it'd be WSH-TBL ECF... I feel somewhat prescient. I honestly think now they go all the way, Winnipeg is good, but so was LA and SJ and the Golden Knights rolled them up like cheap paper. It'll be an interesting series either way.

Credit where credit is due.
They have an awesome team, play an exciting up tempo style and have a pile of picks stockpiled in the next few drafts (minus a 1st rounder next year, but that could change).

i had Nsh vs SJS in the west (Pitts vs TBL in the east). My western predictions ain't looking good.

Winnipeg vs Vegas would be a great series (i'll be going for the Peg).

I have undervalued Vegas so far but they continue to impress.

I had Jets-Sharks, Pitts-Bos in our series pool. I was kicking butt after 1st round, now i am somewhere in middle of pack, mainly because of Vegas, who I haven't picked yet to win a game.
Surely their bubble has to burst soon...doesn't it?

Rolling 4 lines & non stop skating is their MO. Next year teams will be better prepared for them & injuries can effect them. They’ve gone through not many key injuries to date. All said they will be a force for many years most likely. Old teams ala the Ducks & Kings will be in retool mode. Oilers might figure it out one day. The Flames are an enigma & will remain one.
As for us well no comment 😂😂

Fleury was a steal. But I gotta give the VGK props - they were on a 5th string goalie at the begining of the year and they kept winning. I guess Gallant wasn't the problem in FLA, eh? Who is dumped at the curb now!??!?!

The more I watch TBL Jets & VGK play the more i see we need elite talent. I’m not necessarily siding with BPA but we need scoring & that looks more like a F hopefully a C. I like many D but one of Wahlstrom Tkachuk if they drop we need more. They could be BPA anyways. Size speed & skill.
The group of 2-4 D that fall to us are all good picks but not the upside of the F’s IMO
We should wait til 2-7th rounds after to pluck D. It sux to think I’d delay rebuilding D but we need a lot of elite talent asap. Getting more high picks is still a priority.

One sure way to get elite talent is finishing last and hoping the lottery luck is on your side, like Buffalo and Toronto. Beyond that you've gotta be really good at drafting and put a lot of talented people/resources into into amateur scouting.
