I'm the opinion that you win all over the ice, not just center. That's the problem now, the 5 teams still remaining are loaded with skill in all positions. You load up on centers then your defence tends to lag, you load up on wingers then you don't have anyone who can get the puck to them, you load up on defence and now you don't have any snipers. That's one of the issues I have always had with BPA, the roster isn't big enough and not enough ice time if you keep taking the BPA.

Yes, you can trade your surplus for what you need, but nowadays with championship teams being close up to the cap, now more than even teams are even more unwilling to let go of their producing players on ELC or cheap short term deals to help with cap management.

I don't consider it a bold statement. Boeser was a late first and Petterson would likely be drafted top 3 in a redraft. he is a better prospect. That doesn't mean it will be an easier transition into the NHL though. Boeser had decent size already and Pettersson is a rake. I fully expect him to put up 45-55 pts next season.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that Boeser played 2 full seasons of college before his debut. If Pettersson makes the team out of camp, it would be very unfair expect the 19 year old to produce the same as Brock did at 20 years old

Pettersson's @167lbs? slapper was 97.5 MPH
Zibanejad's @227lbs slapper was 98.8 MPH

lol...he'll need to back up a bit before he starts. When Dipietro is backing up Demko here we should be in good shape long term.
