I do think he should be a target but I sure wouldn't give all that for him. 7.5 mill cap hit for 5 more years with a guy that wants out of Buffalo, it's a problem for Buffalo & not a reason to overpay like Ottawa did for Duchesne.

ROR salary could become problematic with Tchachuk come contract time, and all our goalies are up that same time as well.

Not too concerned about any goalies contracts at this point, at best, Smith gets extended to a 1 or 2 year deal at way cheaper. Cap won't be a big issue & if need be Brouwer's last year can always get bought out. I see young cheaper D moving in & getting us leverage on cap as well. As long as we don't sign any UFA's to whacko deals, we'll be fine. Statsny will be too expensive as 4 th line centre & we already have our expensive Backlund targeted for the 3rd line shutdown role. Chucky will get Gaudreau/Monahan money. Pst Steinberg says signing Tavares is doable fort the Flames, ROR would be a lot simpler.

Simpler? How do you figure? Tavares only needs to be signed but RoR needs to be traded for which requires giving up assets.

I’d love to get Tuch. I wanted him to get drafted by us. But I think he may be a key young piece for them.

People need to stop bringing up Shinkaruk as if he has any trade value at all.

Hamilton is big, but doesn't use his size. Gio and Brodie were the dynamic dual before Hamilton. Trade Hamilton so they can get back together.
