I am not complaining about the officiating because it against Boston. The officiating is coming from above (the script). Do you honestly believe that the owners invest millions of dollars leave the return up to 22 players and a coach?
The Bruins winning in 11 was clear that it was their "turn". Hell they waited 40 years to get it. It's all about attendance. The Bruins were losing out on sellouts. I heard last week that they have had 380+ consecutive sellouts. Add up all the 41 games a year and that brings us all the way back to just before they won the cup. Having a team win the cup that doesn't fill the arena continuously is a sure fire way to get a$$es in the seats.
I know the argument is going to come that the leafs haven't won in 60+ years. That's because they sellout the arena whether they win or lose. Same with Montreal. The worst thing for the league would be to have two Canadian teams in the finals. The US networks wouldn't want to cover the finals and the league would lose exposure in the US. - jakxx
Ill be honest, place looked empty wednesday, def not at full capacity. |

Nope. It just feels like you guys are getting the short end of the stick with Power Plays because of your first round with Toronto. You guys could ‘do no wrong’ and Toronto was constantly getting penalized.
They (Toronto) did get hosed a bit first round...still didn’t deserve to win that series though. They played terrible for the first bit of that series (and in game 7). |

I didn't have much respect for Marchand but now I have no respect. There is no place in the game for the poop he is pulling. Licking someone in the face is the same as spitting in the face. And all of this with the clipping aside on Callahan as well.
He makes your team live up to the bad reputation that opposing fan bases have. This was a great game, the Bruins minus Marchand are a great fun team to watch and this series is no where near over but man Marchand just ruins a good portion of that for me. |

As my brother from another Marchand-hating mother, I agree 100%.
Also, Marchand is not bothering me as much this series....because it's not working. The Bruins have lost three in a row, including two at home. That is unprecedented for the Lightning. So whatever Marchand is doing, he should keep doing it. Hell, go lick Paquette or Coburn and see what that does. As long as he's not injuring anybody.... LOL.

Well, looks like it might be shaving day on Sunday. It's unfortunate, cause I have a dandy beard going. Bruins were the better team tonight and deserved to win, but a couple of bad breaks and Tampa is just too good not to capitalize on them. I still can't believe that they made that soft call on Acciari and let the Kucherov hold go that led to the Stamkos bomb. It's the second round of the playoffs for f sakes. Officiating has to be better. |

Had the feel of a makeup call for not calling anything on Marchand in the second. Sad but thats what it felt like to me because it was a soft call for sure. But hell the B's got a goal of the penalty so overall it worked out in there favor. |

Meh, not sure about that, but officials at this level have to have better game management. B's did get a shortie, so definitely didn't hurt them, but the non-call on Kucherov was for sure a back breaker.
The real problem though is that for two games in a row, the Bruins thought it was an 8pm start. It boggles my mind that they can start like that in their own building. |

Technically, only the 3rd period in game 7. If it were a 40 minute game, the Leafs would've won the series
Gave away first 2 games so easily, could've played the Coyotes and still lost.
They pretty much lost the series right there.
Either way, judging by the ref calls...it seems the Bruins in round 2 are the Maple Leafs of round 1...not that Tampa wasnt the better team. Sounds familiar.
Hopefully they'll at least take it to a game 6. More hockey to watch.

At first it was (frank)ing weird............ Now its downright disturbing. |

Marchand has a mental disorder & should have his brain analyzed. And to all you Bruin fans who say "you would love to have him on your team", NO WAY JOSE!
He is making a total mockery of his team and the league and has to be suspended for the rest of the playoffs which will only be 1 more game anyway.

If you're a Bruins fan and you're defending Marchand today you need to give your head a really good shake because you're likely a worthless human etch-a-sketch and you need a fresh start. |

Stamkos is a pretty clean player, in all games occasionally something bad can happen but with Marchand he is consistently doing dirty and cheap tactics every game. How can I be on a high horse when saying I lost respect for Marchand for stating he is a dirty player when its a fact he is.

Oh for frank's sakes.
Bettman works for the owners. He does their bidding.
The owners brought on the lockouts.
Your owner is the chairman of the executive committee. |

It's clearly an unsportsmanlike minor.
A misconduct may be pushing it - unless the referee wants to call it an obscene gesture. |
