There is no justifiable reason to keep him on the payroll, in any role. It's insulting. If they are going to truly move him out of a job where he has any sort of hand in hockey operations...why the fuck would they even bother keeping him around? L and M absolutely care about the on ice product.
Their New Arena in Belmont is great but they want it full especially when their Hockey team is playing there 41 nights out of the year. It means a lot more money for them.
Also when your team is in the POs there’s a ton of extra money to be made especially when you own the Arena.

L&M don't give a shit about the fans. It's a money grab. Everyone was thinking that Ledecky didn't answer questions because he was pissed at Snow. He didn't want to answer questions because he didn't want to have any feedback from reporters that might have asked about or reflect the feelings of the fans. He doesn't want to deal with that. More and more I'm being convinced of a theory I heard that Wang gave Snow a "no fire" clause and that's why they can't can him. (And somehow Ledecky and Malkin agreed to this) It's all bizarre, and par for the course with this franchise, but, I mean, what else could this be?
