I hate to be negative, but I just feel like this is the death-rattle. The Pens might squeeze another game out, but I'm just not feeling good about this team.

I don't get the hate for Simon. He's a nice player. Definitely unspectacular and not a guy I'd want on my top line, but a pretty decent depth piece.

He is a smart player. Nothing flashy.

So many of those odd man rushes for Caps were because of such non heads up careless plays... Like ridiculously soft and bad plays.

because you know the inevitable breakdown on defense is maybe two minutes away. honestly, after the guentzel feed to crosby goal i was incredibly high. then the niskanen (frank)job by murray deflated me. the maatta (frank)ery enraged me. now i'm just in some weird spot.

I don't really hate him, he's a decent though unspectacular player. Definitely don't see him as a top 6 right now. Would prefer to see Sprong. But kudos to him for the assist!

i like simon a good bit. i dont necessarily agree with moving anything from that top line the way it was going, but hes not a terrible choice if theyre hell bent on doing it. he belongs in the lineup each night.

still. the lack of anything from kessel and brassard is one of the biggest killers right now.
