The bonerism busted on the EN goal was kind of ridiculous to be honest.
Like...Caps don't pull Holtby when they actually have the puck and sustained pressure.
Then they TROT out 7 guys.

not sure. But that has nothing to do with the hit as long as it was not a charging. It was deemed an illegal hit to the head. It looked to me as a shoulder to shoulder which Wilson drove through then made contact with his jaw. Bad outcome but a clean hit I think

If it was a charge to begin with the yes, the should equate. Don't know the path to the hit so yeah. I saw it on YouTube quite a few times but mainly just the hit. I'm okay with players getting injured Ina clean tough hit. Obviously I don't want any player to get injured but if an injury does happen on a clean hit I am fine with that. If it's not clean then suspend the guy

Didn't mean to start anything ha ha. Was listening to cam Janssen on the radio here locally and he said the same thing. Wilson is going to knock you out but if he had to fight every game against reaves then that would eliminate some of his time on the ice.

I don't know what it looked like on TV, but Phil and Geno look to be playing at 50%. Neither guy has any burst to their skating. Geno would skate around during the commercial breaks trying to keep his knee loose. Even if we get out of this round, I don't see how we get another cup with those two playing at this level.

Sid and Guentz on the other hand.... Damn, they are awesome.

Sullivan should really give Sprong a game. He can't possibly be any worse than Connor Sheary. I hate the Brass, Sheary, Kessel line. All perimeter with Kessel and Sheary getting abused on the boards. They are a defensive nightmare.

Kessel is just downright brutal right now. It's astonishing how much his play has dropped off. It will be very interesting to see what kind of injury he has. Plus the question will be why didn't they rest him? I know he's got that playing streak but getting a threepeat is obviously more important.

I thought Geno was okay. At least I know the puck won't die on his stick unlike Phil.

The pens get away with more interference calls than anyone else. Holy (frank).

I agree with most comments that the Orlov play after Jake's first goal was really bad but accepted throughout the NHL, this one looked worse only because where he landed. It would be nice to see it removed everywhere but I'm not holding my breath.

The Oshie charge was sickening and the fact that the NHL network just refers to it as a big hit, no mention of the air-Jordan flight move he pulled. That was absolutely unquestionably intent to injure no doubt. So likely won't ever be discussed.

Lastly, Holtby's revisionist history on the Malkin goal was eye-opening. Apparently he had the puck controlled on his pad and then Horny launched himself into Holtby's hip and the puck never went in...okay so we now know Holtby is a total idiot and refuses to accept what actually happened. He whines more than Sid ever did, it's scary.

Oshie is a weasel, seems to have a thing for Letang too. I recall him getting fined for a cheapshot on him earlier this season. I know he won't get anything for it but I wish they would at least review his flying elbow attempt at the end of the game. Just to bring more attention to it and let everyone see what a loser he is. That was a clear intent to injure and if Letang wasn't pulling away (given his concussion history) it could have been a career ender for him.

Glad to see the Pens take it. It's hilarious to hear the Caps all saying they want to win it for Wilson like he is some poor soul who suffered a career ending injury.
