Haven't seen Koskinen recently. I have a tough time understanding 2+million on a backup, who has next to no NHL experience. They wasted a 4th on Montoya who has another year left, and will likely have to bury his $. Seems like dicey asset management IMO

Ya know, looking at capfriendly. Van has 32 contracts already. I'd sign 9 out of the 11 RFA's excluding Cenderholm and Stewart. Comets would appreciate Chaput, Boucher back. That's 41 contracts.

I think OJ will be a soldi 3 or 2 dman, which is just fine for a 5OA. I think Sergachev tops out as that as well.

JB's attempt to draft size on defence is just bad.. for lack of a better word. 11 D drafted over the past 4 years. Only 3 look so far that they might play in the NHL. Well 1 did but he left. 3 still TBD.

Are you asking if I don't like european players? Just the opposite, I tend to think North American players are overated by scouts. I have watched a few games of the kid now and I am not impressed. He could work out but we can't afford a gamble with our pick. Especially since Juolevi doesn't look like he will be a top pairing dman.
