If there is contact to the head no matter what the circumstances, its either;

1. Accidental
2. Reckless
3. Intentional

Proving 3 is difficult but can be done on certain occasions
Reckless is probably going to see a lot of the hits.
Accidental is relatively easy.

Points are allocated when any head shot occurs ascending as per the category. Once a player gets to a nominated amount he sits down for a game or 2.

3 has an immediate reunion with DoPS + many points
2 has a meeting if there are numerous occasions via points or there's is no doubt it's a blatant head shot. That has less points than 3 but more than 2
1. Has points added to a players record.

Looked to me Wilson had eyes for Dumos head & lifted his shoulder for contact after the puck had gone. The hit was definately intentional but disputable it was intended to hit his head. This is where the points system punishes repeat offenders. With the look & the lift of the shoulder I think he should have had a meeting with DoPS but that's just me. I didn't see the wenneberg hit but sounds like WOvi is head deep in hunting for hits to injure. Trotz hockey lives.........

So you blame the player who is being hit from behind and who has no idea the hit is coming instead on the guy delivering the blow. They were about 10 other things Wilson could have done there instead of hitting Dumo in the head. He knew exactly what he was doing. Its these "accidentally on purpose" hits that are always the most cowardly.

I am saying if the guy turns right before contact to make the contact illegal he needs to be held just as responsible as the one laying the hit.
