Well u do have me there
Seemed like a forgivable mistake as long as that kind crap doesn’t happen again

U didn’t have to freak out when i asked for some examples of what u meant though
I’d much rather have a reasonable convo than be jerks to each other

- jdfitz77

I think we can both agree that ship has sailed. The conversations become pissing contests about the value of numbers and eyes and it's such a waste.

my retirement is from your school girls crush on ROR, not from the other posters here. Feel free to ignore anything i post, in fact i'd encourage it.
- Sabresfan-365

I think the other posters just want to know how to get to the open bar and when they should show up.

Haven’t seen him at all this year,
but he doesn’t seem like much of a scorer

http://www.hockeydb.com/i...s/pdisplay.php?pid=176326

Very interested to see how him & Olofsson do in Rochester next year
Maybe even play them with Nylander for an All-Swede line

- jdfitz77

It was mentioned earlier that Olofsson would only be a third liner and isn't good at winning board battles. When it comes to Olofsson the board battle parts might be true because he is on the smaller size but he's a great skater and has an amazing shot. Here is more info on Olofsson:

http://www.eliteprospects...m/player.php?player=86308

Also there is a lot to like about Asplund as well. For some, most importantly, it looks like he may be able to replace ROR when it comes to taking draws. You can get more info here on him as well:

http://www.eliteprospects.../player.php?player=139616

This site seems to be pretty good on prospect evaluation.

I thought he would help fix our locker room

I thought he would make his wingers better

I thought he would be more accountable on and off the ice

I thought we would be knocking on the door for the playoffs in year 3 of him being here.

Everything I heard and read, I expected him to be a difference maker

I expect Shane Falco and got Eddie Martel

- homiedclown

Again,
This horrible leader is wearing a letter for Team Canada
That’s a big deal
Not like it’s Team Ireland

ROR has never been a “playmaker”
So idk what u mean by “make his wingers better”
He’s not Jumbo Joe, never was that type player

More accountability?
How exactly?
Seems to me that he’s one of the only guys who says that he needs to be better
Not only is that the definition of holding himself accountable,
it also shows leadership to criticize & put blame on himself- instead of calling out others

Not being in the Playoffs by now has nothing to do with O’Reilly
It has to do with the brutal defense that Murray put together,
Along with suspect (at best) goaltending
It’s absolutely ridiculous to blame that on O’Reilly

This kind of summed it up for me.

Olofsson: His lack of size can be a problem in physical contests

Asplund: Handles the puck with confidence and does not shy away from the dirty work

I agree with you about the distinction, but I only see that as a reason why interference shouldn't be reviewable at all. Assuming we can't change that part, I think the penalty should be a minor for all coach's challenges. This also means you can challenge more than once per game if your first was wrong and an egregious blown call follows or if a team doesn't mind risking penalties.

It shouldn't be the preferred way the game is officiated, and I have no problem with a harsh rule that discourages the practice.

- JetpackJesus

I agree. I'm just saying why it's not a penalty for getting it wrong when offside is.

The problem is no one can agree on what goalie interference actually is. The rule needs to be fixed, or thrown out altogether and go back to you're not allowed to even have a skate in the crease and go back to the old half circle crease so things like the Kane goal wouldn't happen, Couture would've been in the crease.

because we've been down this road.

I provide list of examples, list of examples dismissed as meaningless because they don't fit your narrative, advanced stats are actually for idiots, faceoffs are everything and scene.

I’m familiar with the site
Doesn’t seem like they evaluate their write up after the player is drafted at all though

Would be nice if they talked about how they thought the player was developing

He was more measured on the afternoon show. Basically said that Myers disappointed here in a #1 role, and he disappointed Winnipeg fans the same way. Once he was put in a lesser role, he's shined. Hamilton said he expects Risto to do better with the spotlight off him

My opinion: Myers is a 3rd pair guy who never used the tools he was given. Risto is a 2 or a 3. He should be fine

we are the 31st place team

you give ror a pass

this team stinks and he is a part of why we stink

and every time I mention he is more interested in winning another Byng than risking taking a penalty fighting for a puck, it never gets answered

I don't hate the guy
I do hate him on this roster after 3 seasons

he questioned the heart for the game, that's a big flag IMO

he was suppose to be a leader, this team has nothing in the leadership department

I think his reputation before we got him, and the myth, was seriously over-hyped

thats all
