May I have a moment of your time to talk about Canada’s lord and Savior Saint Ryan O’Reilly?

Sure, talk away

Still to be determined, like Guhle
Promising for sure

Problem is...
NONE of them were any help to us with his accelerated rebuild

The guys he went “all in” on,
were mistakes
Big ones

What defenseman did he go “all in” on?

I don’t recall Bexell saying he was soft.
- Hatboro_Swords

I'm paraphrasing of course, but I remember things like he wasn't going to win many board battles or create his own space and that he might add some scoring to a third line. Could be confusing my interviews, but I don't think I am.

All O'Reilly getting a letter does is confirm what I already know about him. His perceived value in hockey circles exceeds his production. Hopefully Botterill takes advantage of this.

I guess we will see if he ruins Canada’s locker room or not

As Homie put it...
Gorges, Bogosian, Kulikov, McCabe

Not my words,
but tough to disagree there

Agree with you on this for the most part. Just warming to a few of his picks. I like Borgen.

I like all 3 of the guys u mentioned too
Not trying to bash GMTM for bashing sake
It’s not a mystery that he made many bad moves with our defense

I still think Bailey & Baptiste could be decent players for us too
And he signed E Rod as well

Not everything he did was bad
He just struck out big time on most of the moves to accelerate our rebuild

That’s why he was deservedly fired

You’re always so refreshing
Thanks for the laugh

“Risto is barely a 4th”
Come on... u know u want to bash him too

What else?
Kane sucks, & Myers is the best 3rd pair defenseman in the league

Your call I guess. That's what I heard. Did you come away thinking he was more than a potential third liner?

I’ll give you Gorges I guess, but Bogo is what it took to get Kane, Kuli was on a one year deal and helped get Asplund and you couldn’t ask for a better deal for McCabe.

- Sabresfan-365

Examples please...
Only team i can really think of is Chicago
But none of their “2Cs” were of top quality
At least not that i remember

The Kane trade secured Eichel, and the Kane trade continued the fallen for Dahlin. That’s all I got.

yes we get it ROR is the GOAT 2nd liner and no i get it not every single cup winner ever moves their 2nd liner but it is an often moved player, like Stastny

And no i will not be looking through a list of trades for 2nd line centres just to have 20 pages of it being dismissed under bull poop technicalities like "my eyes tell me hes actually a 3rd" or "not enough faceoff wins" or "it doesn't count because the moon was in (frank)ing retrograde"

I am retired, ROR can go (frank) himself

Whoever had combination 1,4,14,11 got royally (frank)ed thanks to some air. Any idea which team that was?
