how about guhle and Borgen continue their development at the AHL-level with Guhle seeing plenty of time in Buffalo?

Think we played a dozen D this year. Depth is a nice thing, until you start exposing players you don't want to lose to waivers. This is a not a group I'd ever expect to stay healthy. That said....I still expect a trade this summer.

Man . Buffalo's good fortune in winning the Dahlin sweepstakes has put some over the edge . Folks need to remember he is going to be a Rookie next year . Don't drive the kid out of town before he gets there. Be reasonable and temper your expectations. Willing to trade everyone already is a little silly . I hope Botterill does not try to accelerate the rebuild like Murray did. You guys know how that turned out. Again congrats on the big win but some in here need to relax and let your GM make the right moves and not just make trades for the sake of making trades

thx for the solid outside opinion...but, you know how it goes...right?

The dialog has already been started between the Blues and Sabres for ROR. Hard to say if a deal will get done, his contract is a big cap number and the Sabres won't give him away. Not sure either if Botterill is looking to eat any of ROR contract.

cap hit is high, but not unmanageable...plus, almost half his salary will have been paid at the end of two years

I think Sam stays. He can thank the lottery balls for that. Don’t have enough wingers. Can afford to move ROR however.

Based on many comments here, Jack, Casey and Dahlin are going to be playing about 48 minutes per game next year because everyone else has been traded.

I'm hoping for Jaden Schwartz fits our age category speed and a sniper for Jack

we'll see...nelson isn't signed...guhle might not fully be ready...bogo is often injured and McCabe has been battling injuries too....Borgen needs at least a year or two of development...after that, there isn't much in the system

You must be too young to understand and also not understanding what I’m saying.
I’m not saying to convert him from defense to offense. Scotty Bowman (who’s hockey I.Q. I trust more than you or any armchair g.m. On this board) used Ruff on the wing because Ruff was a tough guy to play against, added grit and some scoring on the wing.

Dahlin obviously is better, Dahlin has the wheels to keep up with Eichel and his play making ability is off the charts and will open up room for Eichel.

If you want to feel even better, go onto YouTube and watch the videos of other teams fans reacting to losing the lottery. It's like watching someone be kicked in the nuts, funny because you know what it feels like.

ain't nothin' wrong with keeping the players many want traded...it may take a while, but they could come into their own down the road

In keeping with tradition of taking SHL players in the 2nd round, my pitch for our 2nd round pick

http://www.eliteprospects.../player.php?player=259973

Nothing against davidsson and Asplund, but im tired of the "safe" picks, especially in the 2nd round.

Lets swing for a home run for once

I was more or less agreeing with you. If Guhle is the first call up, that might be game #1 with this group....or he may be the injured himself. Risto and Scandella are both durable, after that, it's a fragile group. Dahlin already has good size, which is nice.

Have my eye on those three as well. Seem like great fits and a reasonable ask.

I'd try for Tage Thompson. Tough year sorta but there's still a lot of upside

good point...salary cap looks to be $80 million next year...three years from now when Dahlin will be getting his raise, it could be around $90 million, give or take...I think they could handle a couple of million

Leave the other teams and their fans alone. Focus on our team and the work that still has to be done. Stay classy.
