Can we get some people to watch the bridges? I have a feeling SES will be heading to one very shortly.

Once Lou says he's staying, this will be you.

Or maybe you're afraid of heights so it'll be this:

If Lou is brought in Garth Snow will be neutered.

L and M are not bringing Lou ( Or anyone else for that matter) in to take direction from Garth Snow. The reason they are bringing in someone is because the direction needs to be changed.

If they bring Lou or someone in lets give L and M some credit.

Lets just hope the country club and friends zone ends for once and for all and run it like a real hockey team

No chance of that since Lou, nor anyone else, will be brought in as a new GM. It will either be Snow remaining or Weight being named new GM. Book it. This is the Islanders, baby.

I'm still not giving up on Lou, but if he is out and Dean has no interest Julien BriseBois may make sense.

I agree. I cannot see Shanny stopping Lou and Lou did not exactly like being just President with the Devils. I think Lou wants back in the action.

Lamoriello says his intent is to honour his contract, which sees him carry on as an advisor with the Leafs.

Lamoriello says he'll learn as he goes in his new role "and make the best of it."

That doesn't really sound like a guy looking to go elsewhere, to me

If another team offers him a GM position I don't see the Leafs standing in his way. Plus what is he going to say? He is still under contract with them. Not even sure If I want Lou to be honest, but I would take him in a second over the mess they have now

Make the best of it does not sound like Lou is that thrilled either. Isles need to move quickly and find out if Lou is in or out.

He also was supposed to do that in Jersey and left is there a precedent

Again, the key word in that statement is 'intent'. If he were truly gung-ho, fully in he wouldn't say "his intent is..." He would say something to the effect of "I'm going to honor the contract to it's full extent". Or "I'm very happy here in Toronto & I'm not going anywhere". Something like that. Intent & make the best of it sounds to me like someone who's heart really isn't in it. Someone who could be persuaded to leave if the right offer came along.

At least copy and paste Staple's tweet saying that and give him the credit

That's possible, but like you said, he's still under contract with them. No guarantee TOR is going to give anyone permission to speak with him or that he actually wants to leave. I'm assuming it's a dead matter until it isn't.

Yeah, except he was basically forced out of NJ and just given the opportunity to leave with dignity and resign. Like I said above, it's possible it happens but it sure doesn't sound to me like he's leaving.

I wonder if being in charge all these years he will be able to not have the final say. Interesting scenario up there let's hope our owners are planning on a change and are just tight lipped
