This is extremely unlikely. I'd wager there is a 91% chance he starts in the NHL. - CanuckDon
That's cool.
i'm not a betting man, but if i was, i'd take that bet.
I'm eager to see EP play, but Green and JB are old school types that will demand that he earns his ice time (as he should). |

We definitely need some more C's.
I think we should hold off on assuming EP and Dahlen are gifted spots on the lineup next year.
I would not be surprised if they start on Utica and make their way up to the bigs when injuries/scratches occur, like Brock last year (?this year). - dbot
Never enough C’s the hunt for them is continuous finding top 2C’s. Also IMO EP is most likely to be a winger in the NHL. C is a lot of work & responsibility & without elite wingers it would stifle his offence a lot. Nothing as of yet says he can be a C. |

Boeser? He earned it by being the best. I wager EP makes it. He will be one of the best. |

ya. depends on what we do in the offseason.
But if we resign those RFA's, we've already got 12 ahead of EP.
That's without signing any free agents, making moves and or bringing up anyone from Utica.
Bo
Brock
Sven
Sutter
Loui Eriksson
Virtanen
Gagner
Gaunce
Leipsic
Granlund
Gaudette
Archibald
I'm not saying I think these guys are all better than EP, because he hasn't played a single game in the NHL yet and we don't know, I'm just saying that it might not be a slam dunk that he starts next year in the NHL. - dbot
I see it as EP needs top 9 TOI not with Sutter as a C. If not the case then Utica is fine & a 1st call-up. No rush but i see it hard to believe he isn’t on the Canucks. |

I would take Jack McBain at 37. Ranked 49th. - manvanfan
I noticed him also. I’m saying D in the 2nd til a F says cannot pass on him. Q is is that McBain? I’m not so sure about that. Who else might be available do u think? Thx |

I’m going to put it out there now that Pettersson and Juolevi both make the team. |

I can't believe they are announcing the first selections at around 1:30 (Central time)and the next ones at 830 (central time). It won't even be noon tomorrow for the West Coasters - manvanfan
Thought it was 430. |

Old school also means be a Pro before you expect anything given to you. Earning is more about off season ethic, eating & conditioning to show maturity & smarts. Once thats done its training camp competition to decide a players fate. That all said spots are open for who wants it most & is ready. |

yup.
i could be wrong, but iirc Brock was signed at the end of his university season in 2017, played the last few games and tore it up, proving he was able to play with the big boys.
even then, he didn't start right away on the canucks, but quickly found his way on the team and continued his incredible season.
Could EP do the same? absolutely.
Is it a slam dunk? nope. |

Can anyone answer this/these Questions please - When we traded Dane Fox to Carolina in 2016 it was for Future Considerations but as far as I know we've yet to receive anything tangible from that, does anyone know how that works? Did we get something for him that I don't know about? Or is it still a pick they owe us in the future?
Whats the DEAL??? |

From this I read it was an AHL juggle to help each other & don’t think we get anything else eg picks. |

How do you keep your 3rd best player off the team? I suspect he will be our 3rd best forward immediatley. |

Well he is going to be living with one of the Sedins next year so the bus ride to Utica might be a little rough. |
