I think we should hold off on assuming EP and Dahlen are gifted spots on the lineup next year.
I would not be surprised if they start on Utica and make their way up to the bigs when injuries/scratches occur, like Brock last year (?this year).

Never enough C’s the hunt for them is continuous finding top 2C’s. Also IMO EP is most likely to be a winger in the NHL. C is a lot of work & responsibility & without elite wingers it would stifle his offence a lot. Nothing as of yet says he can be a C.

I see it as EP needs top 9 TOI not with Sutter as a C. If not the case then Utica is fine & a 1st call-up. No rush but i see it hard to believe he isn’t on the Canucks.

Old school also means be a Pro before you expect anything given to you. Earning is more about off season ethic, eating & conditioning to show maturity & smarts. Once thats done its training camp competition to decide a players fate. That all said spots are open for who wants it most & is ready.

even then, he didn't start right away on the canucks, but quickly found his way on the team and continued his incredible season.
