Marner is soft, not even close to Nylander, JVR, Bozak and Gardiner.

Gardiner will upped or traded I guess at the TDL ( just a guess, I can't see letting him walk.)

IMO, he's not worth $5-6 and I sure as hell don't see him as a top 4 on any stanley cup contender.

What bodies would we have got to help us for JVR and Bozak, pretty sure anyone trading for them would have been also trying to win the cup and not willing to give us anything off the roster....picks would be nice this summer, but we seem to always have too many contracts as it is. I don't think it's that big of a deal...

Lamoriello confirms Andreas Johnsson and Travis Dermott will join #Marlies. Kasperi Kapanen will go to Worlds for Finland. #Leafs feel that will help his development most.

After signing the big three how much will be left? Say what you like, JVR was filling the net this year. 35 goal scorers are not are not that easy to replace. They needed a top 4 d-man at this years deadline. They knew it. We knew it. But nothing. Now they have to pay the big boys and Marleau is a year older. I think Bozak will be back if he's willing to take a discount on his UFA value. Give him back his $4.2mil for three or four years. JVR and Komagod = gone. Kappy and Johnsson in.

Marner doesn't play a physical game, but he is not soft.

in fact, he is one of the few people who wasn't thrown off by the playoff physicality.
