Scratch what I said about Zadina, I'll take him before Tkatchuk. |

Rejects is strong... Some teams were stuck etc.... But ya some do fit that description
Pittsburgh gave up their best goalie - mr.peanut
True ... rejects might be a bit overstated but it's amazing what this COMPETENT management/coaching team has been able to accomplish in so short a time frame. |

Currently watching the Vegas - Sharks game ...
Considering that Vegas is composed of other team's rejects, it's amazing that they are where they are in their first year of existence.
I wish we would have such rejects, they are actually fun to watch ... instead, we are stuck with a bunch of overpaid bums and a boring team to watch.
Kudos to Vegas' management team. - Garfield512
Helps that they have smart people in charge behind the bench that gets the most out of his players. Gallant is the most underrated coach in the league. I was clamoring for him to be made HC when he was available. Instead we have Gomer Pile behind the bench and an invalid as our GM.

... I'm old enough to understand the joke.
As for Gallant, I totally agree but unfortunately Montreal being what it is, a coach is expected to be able to communicate with fans in their own language ... they are the ones spending money and buying tickets after all. It makes sense from a business standpoint ($$$) but not necessarily from a purely hockey one.
It definitively puts us at a disadvantage in that regard as it limits the pool of available candidates ... as a francophone (bilingual), I personally don't give a poop what language a guy speaks but unfortunately not all people think the same way.
Oh well ... it is what it is. |

The Habs are so bad they can't even win a draft lottery, oh well you can draft Zadina, he is European and small in stature, just what the Habs normally like.

Kudos to their coach, too. Gallant did a great job in implementing a system that works for his players. |

Speaking of tiny...
You know who is tiny? Clayton Keller at 5'10" 170L, 65 points in his rookie year on a poop team. We tried the Brent-Bilodeau-Michael-McCarron way and it failed.
When/if the Habs will realize we're in 2018, they will draft the most offensively talented prospect which is Zadina. But I think they are still living in 2009 and that Milan Lucic is a player to build around.
So yeah, I think they will pick Tkatchuk.
Which is OK, but not the guy I would choose. |
