I feel bad about that, but can't change it. Next time I see him I'll tell him as much. Meanwhile, I thought a bit about the general reaction to his reply and couldn't help but wonder how it would be received if he had said the same thing to a female reporter.

Like, would that be the final straw for him in Boston if he had written that to a woman? I doubt it ever crossed his mind. It was clear he thought up a quick response and just hit send. I should've thought more about what I was tweeting, too. A lesson for me to take forward.
