I think its the culture we live in now. A bunch of keyboard warriors acting in a way they never would if they were actually standing in front of people. Demanding the perpetrator be strung up for every little (perceived) transgression.

I know there are people posting here who won't take a face to face meeting.

That's a fact not an opinion.

Exactly what my off season needs are. A center and a penalty killer. They also need to figure out of they're going to keep Gudas and MacDonald and how they're going to fit in Morin. If they trade one of the veteran defenseman, they likely need a 7th.

Trade for Vince Trocheck

Nor would I ever be so silly as to ask for a face to face meeting unless it was for beers.

Trying for any other reason is just being an over serious bumhole who has no life.

Not to start the debate all over again, but a player like ROR solves both the first 2 concerns.

For those who haven't seen. TSN reports Flyers want to resign Fillpula and the remaining UFAs would be let go. So no more Read Oduya and Manning. Also plan is to not buy out Lehtera. Buyout would be 1.37 mill for 2 seasons.

Personally I think it is ok. I'd like him gone but we are in no rush to spend the cash.

Hexy said he informed the vet UFAs the plan is not to bring them back. The one possible exception is Filppula but that depends on other things in the summer.

Other things, I assume, like who else is available to fill that role. Take a look around and you'll see the options are not fabulous. Most interesting idea I heard was getting Staal in a deal from Minnesota but you'd have to give a lot to get him although his cap deal is a bargain.

Thank you. I try to put my best foot forward. I've met a bunch of people who did or do post to this site and I have yet to punch a single one of them.

Flyers get a 2C who's great on PK and a great contract

Panthers get a player to replace Smith and a 1st rd pick

For all of you who want results now, here are the key takeaways from Ron Hextall today: He identified the top immediate need as a center, wants to add a veteran penalty killer and says development of the team has reached the stage when "It's time to push."

He does, but at 7.5 aav for 5 more seasons it gives me pause.

What would Buffalo want in return?

Simmer is a warrior and true Flyer.

He is also a very humble and noble human being. I met him in a store, where he and his fiancee were shopping. He took his time to talk to me and to take a picture. After we shook good buys, a store employee with Down syndrome could not stop telling me about his bond with Simmer they had developed over time. How many people can say that they would develop a bond with a produce guy with disability? On emotional level, I want Simmonds to retire as a Flyer (hopefully with a cup ring on his finger and eventual Flyers HOF).

best case scenario, i would like this, too. last year was frustrating, i'm sure most of all for him, and he still managed to pot 24.

Before this season I would've leaned towards Gudas because I thought they were fairly close and Gudas was cheaper. After this season, I also prefer MacDonald. Gudas might rebound but I just don't think he's a smart player.
